good place to rest before going up the hills
Reviewed By Sza_beeThis place is a family run business. it is a perfect spot for the tourists who want to set a base before going into the mountains. Same for skiing in Ranca. Not too many rooms, which can be an advantage. Best of all is that the owner know pretty much the surroundings and has a real knowledge base for the ones who are not familiar or there for the first time. His advice can save some trouble further up the mountain.

Perfect for a stay before going on Transalpina
Reviewed By 581marleeenAbsolutely lovely place with a lovely host. I arrived late, but they still prepared me a meal in the evening. Fresh and yummy breakfast. Clean room and comfortable bed. Nice and quiet place (but be prepared for some animal noises, but it's part of the charm when in a landly area). The host is really the best!

Nice place, lukewarm water
Reviewed By VladStanescuMe and my family rented the whole place, the rooms were spacios and the whole place was really cleane, especially the bathrooms. Unfortunately the water presure and temperature were very disappointing(the whole system is run by a single solar pannel) . After reporting the problem the auxiliary heater was switched on and the temperature problem was resolved but the presure was still lacking. All and all the owners were really nice and the whole place was really cleane.

Good B&B for visiting the area
Reviewed By Andy CPensiunea Mihaela is very well located for visiting the nearby attractions: going up the Transalpina road, Muierilor and Polovragi Caves, Polovragi Monastery. The owners are very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible - adults and kids alike, at the place is surrounded by swings and other stuff for kids to play with. Rooms are cosy, well fitted with bathrooms. We stayed in the small guesthouse across the parking lot from the main building and had no complaints. All in all, Pensiunea Mihaela serves its purpose well and it's worth considering when planning a short stay in the Novaci area.
