My wife had been here before and recommended this restaurant when we had a couple of friends visiting us. What a nice surprise. The restaurant is in the marine and has a nice view over the river and boats. We ordered Ameijoas as a starter and then went with grilled fish. All dishes were well cooked and service was good.Not cheap for portuguese standards, but ok for the view and location...

This is a gorgeous place to sit and relax, drink anything from coffee to vodka, listen to good music, have a bite to eat, enjoy the fabulous view... regardless of the weather conditions. Such a pity their food (snacks) offer is so limited...

Stepped into Chico Bar for few drinks before going some else for dinner. Friendly bar man Micael persuaded us to meet Chico, the Chef when we asked for suggestions where to eat. Lo Behold, Chico the man came out to be our saviour! We were dying to eat Asian food and Chico whipped up the most amazing fried rice served with delicious vegetables with prawns and chicken! He even treated us to some aperitif foc!Would highly recommend anyone to this place!

Aveiro was long lacking a place like this. Joyful ambient, very welcoming staff and, of course delicious food. I would call ir iberian-mexican because of the great iberian ingredients used in some of the dishes that convey this place a signature of its own (like the spicy beef strips with Galician meat - delicious and soft like butter!)We also tried the 'huevos rancheros' and they were simply divine, an explosion of flavours and textures. The deserts and beverages are also home made with fresh fruit juices and fresh ingredients and this makes a world of difference. Lovely cocktails and a large variety of tequilla brands.Oh, and one must not forget to mention the most curious piranha fish tank. Dare to hand feed a piranha?¡Hola! Thank you for your visit. We work everyday to give our costumers the best experience possible. We are very pleased when our effort meets your expectations. We ate here on our last night in Aveiro and it didnât disappoint! For apps we had the garlic toast and veggie tempura, so yummy. As our entrees we had, the mix pork platter for two, veggie burger and the beefsteak. All were fantastic. Staff was extremely friendly and polite. The restaurant is across from the busy section of the canal which is a nice for a more quieter dinner along the canal. They have menus in English which is very helpful. I highly recommend.

I have booked this place through Facebook messages for my Mothers Birthday. It was confirmed and nice table promised.When we arrived we were unpleasantly greeted by a girl and told her we have a booking which she seemed not to care about. She gave us a table in the middle and when I asked for the one next to the window she told me its reserved! Hello! I did reserve as well! She just said sorry. Later I noticed that local couple was seated by a window. I was at the point I wanted to leave but did not want to ruin my mothers birthday so we stayed. I think I go at least once a month and the food is always good! Relaxed place, with good service/food/price.Never ate anything that I didn't like in this place and they have a pretty big menu.You have salads, pizzas, maturated meat, fish etc. It's a safe place to go if you don't know what you want to take someone out to eat.
