This was probably the best fish restaurant I have ever lunched in. Grilled sardines the size of small mackerel just melted in the mouth, with the lingering barbecued flavours accompanied perfectly by a medium dry white Alentejo wine. The seafood rice dish was simply superb, piping hot throughout the meal in its own pan, inviting further helpings of rich, juicy flavours dotted with mussels, chunks of white fish, shrimps and capped with large, moist prawns. Now, just a question of how soon I can return to sample more of this sumptuous fare.

We went on advice from Trip Advisor and could not have been more pleasantly surprised!! Our waiter was fabulous, attentive, gave excellent recommendations. We had soup, calamari - grilled with garlic and lemon butter (OMG!!!). Four of us had a whole sea bass, packed in salt, baked at a high degree, then presented to the table enflamed!! Our waiter proceeded to crack the salty exterior and individually serve each of us our fabulous, tender fish with potatoes, vegetables, rice and spinach. WOW!! We ended our dinner with creme brûlée. Highly recommend coming here for a wonderful and reasonably priced evening!!Many thanks for your kind comments about the Os LusÃadas. Walked to this restaurant from centre of Porto - a two hour hike.A truly excellent fish lunch (sea bass) with an accompanying bottle of wine.Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere.Probably most enjoyable meal of the holiday.

My boyfriend and I ate at O'Lusitano for our last dinner in Albufeira, Portugal and WOW. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. I can't even find words to describe the food but to try - it was cooked to perfection, presented beautifully, and extremely rich with flavor. The servers were so kind and helpful. If you're in the area, I strongly recommend you to reserve a table at this restaurant. You're definitely missing out if you don't. ¡Muito obrigada, O'Lusitano! ¡Nós voltaremos em breve!!!

My partner and I had a really lovely dinner at this restaurant last night. The customer service was excellent. We just told them what sort of food we were interested in, and they brought us the most delicious dishes. We had the sea bass, with potatoes and cabbage, and the octopus and prawn skewers - both of which were delicious! The staff were generous with their time, the food a drink weâre perfect, and everything was a lot cheaper than other local restaurants that weâd considered going to! We couldnât choose a dessert - so they brought us a plate of a few small ones. We finished with a local liquor, and some happy chat with the owner. Iâd whole heartedly recommend a visit!

It was my first visit in Portuguese restaurant and it was excellent impression. Great tuna steak and a little spicy shrimps preparing on customer eyes. And additional attraction: options to buy fish on belonging market and to preparing it by restaurants stuffs.Full recommend!!!

A very nice family restaurant. Seabass, potatoes and vegetables are more than worth the money. Very friendly service all in all. Wines are reasonably priced too, and of good quality. Desserts include tortas geladas and Nata de Ceu which was, well, heavy stuff. That means good. Always worth a taxi ride to visit.

Freshest fish available being right in the market and careful attention to preparation and service make this a great find. For dessert the cheese cake was refreshingly light yet very flavorful. Pedro, the owner, is gracious and so willing to help. We simply asked him to feed us and he delivered, big time!Thank you so much for visiting and for the friendly comments you left us. We had the shrimp dumplings for appetizer and grilled fish (espada and âcavalaâ). With a good bottle of white wine it costed around â¬50 for 2 persons and it was every cent worth it. Everything was delicious. Comfortable e beautiful chairs, friendly service.

This restaurant is in a road full of restaurants, it has both outside and inside seating. Fish is cooked on charcoal grill outside. Fish is prices by weight and they serve big portions. Comes with mixed salad and awesome potatoes! Fish was really well cooked, we had sole and sea bass and folks next to us cod loin. We chose it because it was busy at 7pm - would go back in a flash.
