Cafe Amour

Our second drink in Akureyri was at the Bar & Cafe Amour. Again, exceedingly expensive, but quite upmarket this time. Anyway, we are probably never going to come here again, so we might as well have some enjoyment. In spite of being a weekday lunchtime, the Amour is bereft of custom, and, during our hour in the bar, there were probably only three other souls who came in the doors. I am sure that we don't have to worry for them, but I wish everywhere was a bit busier for the establishments with locals anyway.

A part of the The Municipal Library of Akureyri, this place is offers wonderful lunch buffet and superb staff. Comfy when it's cold outside and their coffee is very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Remember to visit upstairs too (the library itself), the view is worth it.

It’s a good place if you want to get a burgerNice crispy fries, and sweet potato fries too!Buns are white bread, a bit too soft and doughy making the burger one messy burger! But hey- you can wash your hands after! Nice milkshakes and desserts too. Moderately priced for Iceland.
