It has an area of 1,633 km (631 sq mi) with 320 kilometres (199 miles) of coastline, making it the third largest island in Greece. It is separated from Turkey by the narrow Mytilini Strait and in late Palaeolithic/Mesolithic times was joined to the Anatolian mainland before the end of the last glacial period.

We visited this restaurant on our final night in Molyvos as Iâd read the great reviews. Perhaps I was expecting too much. It was friendly and had lovely views but more expensive than other restaurants serving very similar food. I had the Gigantes - giant beans but not giant portion (yes I admit itâs a starter but at other places I got a bigger portion as a starter). Itâs clear that itâs a place where regulars go and there were lots of happy faces (almost like customers were family). Perhaps a few visits are needed to get this level of service that others seemed to have. No end of meal watermelon, or small drink which means I am rating lower than the nearby Tropicana which was absolutely superb! Meal was tasty enough but not outstanding.

Went here a couple of times, very friendly waiters. Had spaghetti carbonara on the first occasion, it was loaded with cream but very tasty.On my second visit I had beef stifado, it looked like shredded beef not like the beef chunks Iâve previously experienced and loads of onions. There was no potato with the meal. I donât know whether or not it was because Iâm unused to the food but it gave me a dodgy stomach - didnât go back again!

In Ermou street in the Old Market near the Yeni Tzami ( the old mosque). in summer you can enjoy dinner outdoors after 21:00

Oh the pizza! Oh the pasta! Of the fantastic chef and hostess. Everything here is good and I came back often. I love good pizza and hate bad pizza. Dulce Vita has superb pizza!!
