I have a strong interest in Sichuan & Hunan cuisine and thought I'd give the restaurant a try. To start off with the positive, the staff are very courteous and professional and the atmosphere is the restaurant is very nice.I ordered Kang Pao Chicken as it is one of my favourite dishes. I was very disappointed however that there was really not much Sichuan about the dish they served as the ma la (numbing & hot) flavours that characterise the cuisine were all but absent. I don't think they used a single Sichuan peppercorn to make it and the chillies had been thoroughly boiled so that they had lost all their heat. I've eaten this dish throughout China (including in Sichuan and Chongqing) and the taste of the dish was nothing like it is meant to be. It wasn't unpleasant, but just a very 'western' take on the dish.If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant with westernised Chinese food, a nice atmosphere and good service, by all means give it a try. If you have any knowledge of Sichuan cuisine and are looking for some authentic flavours, steer clear.

First visited Raavi's Cumin a few months ago, nice decor so had high hopes. Hopes dashed though when the main course arrived as the fish dish was very undercooked, we sent it back and it came back underooked again, we gave up at that point. Decided to give the restaurant another go but this visit was worse than the first. We ordered a draught beer that was served a full 5cm under the legal measure line of the glass, we sent it back to be re-poured. We ordered onion bhaji for entree which was served burnt, so we sent it back, they came back undercooked and so were inedible. We then waited nearly an hour until I finally had to ask when our mains would be served. We finally got our mains however the chicken dish was tough and the lamb disappointing. Very poor service and mediocre food, won't be going a third time.

Our team, led by exceutive chef and owner Roy Chan, serves up modern Cantonese in a contemporary setting on Sydney's north shore. The focus is on farm-to-table ingredients spun into delicious reincarnations of dishes inspired by our homeland. These dishes
Back visiting Sydney for a few weeks and we make a bee-line to see one of our favourite Chefs (Roy Chen) and feast on his wonderful menu of modern Cantonese food. This time we were with a vegetarian friend so two of us opted for the 7-course Vegetarian Banquet whilst 'the boys' chose some individual dishes (although they did sample and enjoy some of our veggie dishes). The first dish to arrive was Crispy Eggplant in a steamed Bao with Chilli mayo, Sweet Soy, and Coriander, we girls raved about this. Crunchy coated eggplant in a soft Bao wrap ... yummo, followed by Stir-Fry Mixed Wild Mushroom Pancakes, Traditional hand-made Cheong Fun with Peanut and Hoisin, Crispy Vegetable Gyoza with Sambal Chilli and then the Veggie mains Silken Mapo Tofu with Shiitake MushroomSteamed Bok Choy with Oyster Sauce, Cantonese Style Vegetarian Fried Rice ALL EXCEPTIONALLY DELICIOUS AND BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED.The boys choices were Shandong Chicken, Steamed Barramundi Fillet with Ginger and Shallot, and Satay Prawn with Broccolini. Judged a big hit by all but leaving us far too full to even consider the dessert menu.Excellent wine list - we chose a Grenache Rose, 2017 Chateau d'Esclans Whispering 68 Angel Rose which it was agreed was tops.

This is a great little restaurant, just off the main road in Neutral Bay, but feels like a regular local haunt. The food is outstanding and packed with flavour. I especially loved the creativity in the presentation. The service is warm, friendly and attentive.

Peacock Gardens Restaurant is a modern Chinese restaurant servicing discerning diners throughout Sydney from its location in the inner northern suburb of Crows Nest. Peacock Gardens has won numerous awards, including Best Chinese Restaurant of 2007 and 20
Peacock Gardens has been around a long time in Crows Nest. It is well known and many business meetings, family gatherings, celebrations & staff lunches happen here. Came here with a small group. Matthew the owner realised that some our party did not eat items that were ordered so he made sure that a substitute item was brought so that everyone at the table would enjoy their meal. Have never seen service like that in a long time - it was above and beyond what you expect in a restaurant these days especially since we are not regular diners here. Good Chinese food and service s good by waitstaff. It's more high end Chinese restaurant dining in a smaller setting.

We were recommended this restaurant at the end of the street we were staying on. Simple food, communal tables and tasty food. Be prepared to queue, but it's worth it.

The Malabar Crows Nest Restaurant opened its doors in 1992. Featuring mesmerising floor to ceiling murals of India, solid timber chairs and a cuisine filled with healthy fresh traditional choices, Malabar pays homage to its South Indian heritage. The shar
Thoroughly enjoyed the food at the Malabar and the attention and service by the staff was great. We ordered the Samosas, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and the Korma along with rice and roti, all of which was very tasty. In addition the restaurant was not very noisy so our group could easily can on a conversation. Will be making a return visit next time in Sydney.

Ate at Infuzions for first time in a year. Had made online booking which they had not received (suggest checking) - but they found us a table. Food was good but I felt prices had gone up a little. $170 for 4, byo wine. Not over the top but up a little. Always nice environment and friendly service.

I love this place - really love it. I would have eaten here hundreds of times. There are a few things to know. The decor and menu have not changed for years/ever, many of the staff have worked there for 20 years plus and the owner Stanley is there every night. The place is popular. Business men eat there and take their families. Children who were taken there come back when they are older. It's restaurant genius. You always get great food, you always get great service and you are alway made to feel special. If i was going to have one last meal it would be at this place.

I love an Indian meal and was not disappointed with this restaurant. It was busy but service was great and the menu choice excellent. Portion size was just right and the taste and flavour spot on. Next visit to Sydney and we will return!
