We had lunch here with 8 persons and loved it! Menu card is big and they have nice juice selection. You can have bread or warm meal for lunch. They have toys for kids and they are open on Sundays!

Wegen der guten Bewertungen von TripAdvisor haben wir dieses REstaurant besucht. Das Essen war wirklich etwas Besonderes. Der SErvice etwas langsam aber freundliche, das Ambiente gepflegt und gemütlich und Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angemessen. Trotzdem werden wir nicht widerkommen denn auf dem Herren WC befnd sich ein Automat mit wiederlichen Produkten. Da laufen sicher auch Kinder herum und ich frage mich, wie ein derart niveauvolles Lokal sich damit alles kaputtmachen kann.

Gausthaus Sauerwald is one of the best gastropubs in the region. Led by the couple Bale and Ulrike this place is a family owned gastro pub with great food and outstanding hospitality. The food is influenced by Bale' s country of origin, Mazedonia, with typical flavours from the mediterranean region, whatever you eat it is delicious. The rooms are very clean and the prices per night inclusive breakfast are reasonable.

Well prepared german cuisine, tastyfull and plenty as everywhere in Germany. I had a very good âSauerbraten mit klösenâ, really german and really nice. The other dishes from my friends where also good! Excellent dessert ( Pannacotta and crème bruleé). Good price/quality, only the wine is overpriced. Be sure to reserve a table, as it was rather full this sundayevening.Opens at 17:30.

Very friendly service in a warm, homey environment. You feel as if you are visiting family. Wait staff and chef are very kind. Food is delicious and comes in generous portions. Every time we visit Sauerland, my husband and boys insist on eating at Hester's to enjoy their wonderful chicken with mushroom cream sauce. Also try the kids' potato pancakes and yummy eis. Don't miss it!

Had een pommes met bockwurst besteld en een glas cola.Eerst kreeg ik compleet het verkeerde drinken. Na 15min kwam de pommes, maar zonder bestek en geen bockwurst. 10min later had ik dan eindelijk alles gekregen wat ik besteld had.Bij de afrekening moest ik veel te veel betalen. Bleek drank op mijn rekening te staan die ik geeneens besteld had.Alles is wel gecorrigeerd, maar dit is wel de slechtste service die ik sinds tijden gehad heb. Verder was het totaal niet druk op het terras, dus knap hoe ze toch alles verkeerd konden doen.

I've been to this restaurant a few times when visiting friends in the Sauerland part of North Rhine Westphalia and I love coming back every time for tasty food, original Warsteiner lager beer and the ever so friendly and professional service. Attached to the restaurant is a horse parkour and if you are lucky you can see horses being trained. In September the brewery organises a hot air ballon festival when people from all over the world come to Warstein to ride the balloons over the beautiful countryside, something you don't want to miss as it is spectacular when hundreds of hot air balloons lift gently up into the sky in the early morning hours. If you can't make up your mind when it comes to what to pick from the menus go for the typical German Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, chips and a salad, so yummy ;))
