The restaurant has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff very helpful. The Argentinean steaks are prepared on a central, open grill (reflecting the gaucho lifestyle) and are to die for. My grandson who was with us said that he didn't think he would ever have a better steak!

I usually don't give much thought to hotel restaurants, but Konrads' in the Hilton Cologne is exceptional. Excellent dishes that are different than the usual hotel foods. Breakfasts are very good too -- fresh fruits and nice baked goods. Service is very good and prices are not too high.

Unfortunately the food wasn't freash. We order about 8 tapas. Non of them was good. Full with oil and was served cold.Dear Mayan,we are really sorry you feel that way. We can assure you that we select the ingredients of our tapas with great care, we buy at the local market and get our meat from a farmer. All our ingredients are fresh. In addition, our kitchen stuff puts a lot of effort in preparing delicious dishes. Some tapas are served cold, but that is signalled in the menu. I enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The meal comprises of an eat as much as you like buffet of cold starters and side dishes (including salads and sushi) and various meats and large shrimps that you cook yourself on a barbeque in the middle of your table. Desserts are limited to three choices of ice cream.Recommended for about â¬35 a head for the bbq and two beers.

Went there for dinner on a Friday evening. Busy place so you should book a table although otherwise they are very friendly and tell you you could wait near the entrance for a free table.We had delicious food - a mixed antipasti plate for 2, a grilled pulpo and a pumpkin soup as starter - all excellent. Then had three different pasta dishes - all excellent - and one Calzone which was good but regarding to the other offers on the menue I wouldn't recommend.As said the quality was outstanding, all freshly cooked, and apart from that you should know that the portions are quite big as well!When we asked to pay we were offered a free coffee or Ramazotti or else.Very friendly and attentive staff and typical Italian atmosphere.
