Reviewed By pamferg01Mango Lagoon resort is a beautiful resort away from the 'main drag' at Palm Cove Queensland. It has 4 lovely pools, beautiful gardens, excellent & excellent staff, Although a little dated & in need of a few improvements, the apartment was spacious with an 'old world' feel. Bus transport to nearby restaurants, Cairns, etc. was outside the door.

Clean, enough space, everything worked, a bit out of date-looking (which is not a problem for us). The man at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful, and he said the wifi might be touch and go but it was fine for us, and we rocked up to hopefully stow our luggage at 10:15am but the room was ready so they just let us in early! Very convenient! The shower that other reviews claim was mouldy has been recently replaced, definitely the most modern-looking and clean feature of the apartment. I kind of wanted a bath but you can’t have everything I guess. Make sure you read the fine print that there’s no oven in the kitchenette, I didn’t read closely enough. The hot water pressure & temperature was always fantastic. Couple tiles cracked in bathroom but who cares. Maybe the worst aspect was how echoey the hallway and rooms were, poor soundproofing, so we were all up in our neighbours’ business but we did get used to it. We were provided a sachet of laundry powder for the washing machine, and there was a whole bottle of dishwashing liquid, lots of cooking utensils – happy with these. No oil for cooking but I am not really sure about the etiquette for this. We would stay here again for the price and location; we were looking to save money on accommodation and this provided us with everything we fundamentally needed in an apartment. Thank you Inn Cairns!

Tropic Towers Holiday Apartments is the perfect place to base your Tropical Far North Queensland holiday or Business trip. We offer fully self-contained 1 and 2 bedroom holiday apartments. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities in the bathroom as well as a private balcony. Set in lush tropical landscaped gardens, our facilities include a large resort style swimming pool, with spa and stainless steel electric BBQ. Situated just 5 minutes by taxi from Cairns International Airport, it is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute leisurely stroll along the Esplanade to reach the Cairns City Centre. A bus stop is also located just 30 metres from the main entrance. All tours pick up and drop off at Tropic Towers and our reception staff are only too happy to assist with all tour bookings and including car rentals. Our friendly on-site management team and staff are dedicated to making your stay at Tropic Towers an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Reviewed By purplegems12We stayed in a 2 bedroom self contained apartment and honestly could not fault it at all. It was central to everything possible that we needed, so we had no problem either walking or getting a taxi. We will definitely come back again for another stay.

Reviewed By FrequentFlier658675Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. ( I think Maria was the customer service lady who helped with my last minute booking). Only issue was no lift as my room was on the second floor but this did not effect me. Certainly would return . Rooms not serviced daily but this was not an issue for me. Recieved a $10 meal voucher for the adjoining facility which was certainly a nice gesture.and I utilised. Thank you Lake Central for making my getaway a very happy experience. I will return.

Reviewed By wendycR941XCNothing in this apartment was clean. Furniture was broken, dishes were dirty, reception / management is very unprofessional. I had to scrub the shower and clean the dishes myself. There is nowhere to report this and no regulatory body. When I complained staff made excuses and implied mouldy bathrooms are normal. These people should not be allowed to operate without hygiene and infection control practices. I even had to wash the stained blankets. It is a heath hazzard.

Reviewed By Matilda246First and definitely last time staying in this hotel. The first red flag was the foul smell when I first opened the door it was almost a damp and mouldy smell. We were resting in our apartment and the vent fell on my friends arm. The bathroom was dirty and had mould on the roof. The shower was small and the tiles were dirty and cracked. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Unit - Great price
Reviewed By Adam HOur stay was just a quick overnight on our way to Port Douglas. There were five of us and we reserved the 3Bedroom poolside unit. Pricing was so good it was less than $70 per person and the unit was FANTASTIC. We could have easily have stayed for a week!

Reviewed By 123m0kWe booked the 3 bedroom penthouse. It was not as per the photos. Big unit with a nice view but not penthouse quality. The mattresses were awful, no mattress protectors on some beds, thin blankets. Dirty outdoor area, filthy fans, lots of ants and cockroaches. Broken soap dishes, towel rails and toilet roll holder. The garage opener had to be repaired, then replaced and still did not work properly so we resorted to parking on the street. We had an industrial sized no frills shampoo and body wash provided. No individual soap or nice things as per the photos or as you might expect in a penthouse. One towel each and no face washer. The white leather couch was filthy and the outdoor wicker furniture was worn and breaking in places. It was an ok unit but definitely nothing special and nothing like the photos on the official website. I feel it was overpriced for what we got. Finally, there was a lot of aircraft noise in the apartment we stayed in. No noise from the backpackers next door.

Reviewed By 684nivinsThe resort was averagely good and staff was very helpful and friendly so no complain there. It’s Walking distance to the beach and restaurants . Resort pool was under maintenance but pool and spa areas were open . Cons: the couch in our room was spotted and not very clean . Pool is not solar heated and due to palm trees and tropical trees surrounding it the sun could not help either so it was very cold and I couldn’t swim . My daughter’s lips turned blue every time she tried to swim for a few minutes . The spa was not very hot and the spa jets not that strong so this whole aspect of the resort was not enjoyable and felt disappointed.the whole resort was outdated and needs a lift up , the two bedrooms had only glazed window/ sliding doors separating them so privacy was an issue But overall served our purpose well being close to all attractions in cairns and we didn’t stay there during the day , but at night it was lovely and quiet to sit on the balcony and drink wine .
