We wilden een keer een ander Chinees -Indisch restaurant proberen. Het eten was goed te noemen, maar de service had beter gekund. Er werden eerst 3 van de 5 gerechten gebracht en het duurde zeker 5 minuten voordat de overige 2 gerechten werden gebracht. Dat was jammer. verder zou ik de de eigenaar adviseren de inrichting van hun restaurant gezelliger te maken./

What a great experience was to visit this restaurant, it's indeed true that after having dinner here one doesn't want to visit any other chinese restaurant. The food we all had was very well prepared and the service was excellent. Their menu it's not the typical one you will find in a Dutch chinese place, they really have selected dishes and will definitively will go back!!Thank you for your kind review. This average sized restaurant in the small town of Bakkum (Castricum) serves nice, fresh and tasty Japanese food in a relaxing atmosphere. You can order from the menu or order the 'all you can eat' formula.With drinks you will have to pay about â¬45 p.p. As in most 'all you can eat' formula restaurants you tend to forget that they make most of their money from selling the drinks. But all in all I think the price was right for the given quality and we enjoyed our meal. One point of advice to the owners: why bother trying to get customers (the table next to ours) to pay â¬1 for a half eaten dish? This gain will cost you dearly cuz people won't visit your restaurant again...

No direct critique on my last visit to Jasmin Garden, but more in general. Has the quality of Chinese/Indonesian food gone down significantly over the last decade or so? It's been a while since I've ordered an "Indonesian/Chinese rijsttafel". In this particular instance one for 4 people. I felt bad for my relatives who payed for it. It was like walking down a supermarket aisle. Price the same, but less in the package or, in our case less dishes on the table. As to Jasmin Garden, food quality was good (+), taste (+/-), plate options (-)Overall "average", no matter the ambiance or the (sometimes too cozy informal) attitude of the staff.
