Not that difficult to find, roundabout before entering gradually Nivelles from Nivelles North exit on highway. Lots of traffic passing by, but as the weather was nice we took the chance to eat outside. Not exactly quiet, nor healthy maybe with the traffic... Service was very friendly, and we took menu with mussels. Nice sauce came with it, quantities were up to our huge standards, and we liked every course of it. if you look for non-pretentious easy menu at afforable prices, this must be a good candidate.

I have been here a few times and it's always good. Never rushed but served at the right time and the food is brilliant. If you want somewhere pretentious this is not the place to go, it's honest Greek food cooked well. I think one of the marks of a good restaurant is consistency and every time I have been the dishes are cooked just the same. The ambience is what really makes it though, you will have a good night out with your friends and family.

Good restaurant, but neither the waiter did not know English. We spent a very long time for our order. This is the only one negative. Everything was very good. Delicious meal. We prepared meat yourself, look at the photos. I liked very much.

The restaurant is a Greek restaurant, serving real Greek meals. For example, if you order an Ouzo, you will have to choose between 16 different Ouzo... They serve you a la Greek: once the meal is ready, the waiter - a very funny man - brings it. No starters, no main course, you just pick 7 or 8 dishes on the list, and they are brought to your table in a random order.
They taste real good, and I strongly recommend to taste the 8 mousses (home made Tzatziki, tarama, and one whose name I forgot, made with white truffle OMG).

LOLI

Located in the centre of Nivelles and with grand views of the renovated Church, LOLI Ambiance Lounge offers the discerning diner a relaxing yet rewarding gastronomic experience. The name is suitably descriptive and staff are well organised and efficient, the tables not too close to be imposing and the food just what is expected from a professional french-speaking chef. Located at the front of the restaurant tables are of a tall design, but with correspondingly high chairs there is no discomfort. Other patrons were quiet and respectful - no noise or raucous behaviour and a non-smoking policy ensured a very pleasant interlude. Sadly though, the only disadvantage was that English was not spoken by the staff.
The menu is not vast, but contains a number of meat and fish dishes together with special "meals of the day" all served with a choice of potato options. I was relaibly informed that the restaurant is noted more for these options than anything else - but better to make a reservation and try for yourself.

On the N93, between Nivelles and "Quatre Bras Baisy-Thy", Houtain-le-Val, typical village of Walloon Brabant, is home to this old mill converted into hiding greedy by Mireille and Axel Letor. Sweetness and intimacy of a framework for almost delicious shades where the old wheels have their say. Flavor and originality of a kitchen listening to her and blessed by the local market seasons.

This small restaurant is easily overlooked right in the very heart of Nivelles. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, just the wife and I. Even though, at first I was a little disappointed with the decor, but once the food arrived, we were in heaven! Service was good and dishes are reasonably priced. It was a great experience and we will definitely return for more!

L'Avenue

Reviewed By Wouter V - Brussels, Belgium

Just went for a business lunch in L'Avenue and:
On the upside:
- Price / quality is top. 29 € or 32 € for a complete menu excluding drinks for this level of cooking is very good.
- Small card with fresh ingredients.
- Service with a smile.
On the downside (but minor):
- No private parking.
- No tablecloth. Wooden table with just a plate on it is a bit “naked”.
- 2nd coffee didn’t come with a sweet.
All in all a very recommendable address.
