This place is my favorite new restaurant. The ingredients are so fresh, even the fried rice is way above the standard cookie cutter Chinese food places we have a hundred of in the area. The dumplings are simply outstanding. I honestly have come here 1-2 times a week for the last few months since discovering it. The staff/owner is friendly and boy does he know how to cook. I hope they catch on with the student population and grow their business. It seems there are only 2 people working hard in the kitchen. Hopefully they can eventually find a bigger space and keep this amazing food in the area. FYI - The dark sauce on the table is vinegar, not soy. They accept credit cards. There is parking on the side of the building. There does not appear to be a bathroom for customers.

Sake Tumi

Sake Tumi is the premier fusion-style Asian restaurant & sushi bar in Binghamton. We offer a wide variety of sushi rolls, Chinese, Japanese & Thai dishes. We also feature a $1 Sushi Night on Tuesday and Thursdays!

This is the only Japanese restaurant in downtown Binghamton. Apart from sushi and rolls, it also serves some Thai and fusion Asian dishes. The lunch special is an economical choice. I ordered Pad Thai and like it a lot. Service is great. Price is very reasonable.

Beware being a credit card using diner at this place. They have a big sign on the counter that indicates cash only. That made my visit most unpleasant, as I carry very little cash. I cannot speak about the food, but I ended up at a really nice place called Panda III on the Vestal parkway near SUNY when I had to find another takeout spot because this place did not accept credit cards at all.

This place has the best Chinese food I ever eaten. Food was light and not over salted and drowning in soy sauce like typical Chinese food. Combination plates are a bargain and are enough for two meals for me. We ordered the beef and broccoli and general tso's combo plates; combos come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Superb food! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall next to a gas station they have limited seating and seems everyone just grabs take out which is what we did. You can even grab dessert of ice cream next door in your way out!

We ate during a visit to Binghamton with a family member. The drunken noodles were tasty, but the fried rice was very bland. The people were very nice at the restaurant. However, when the waitress brought straws for our water, she placed the unwrapped straws down on the table. That was not appealing to us at all.

Thai Time Restaurant

Large variety of Thai dishes to choose from, nicely prepared and even customized to your taste. Delish soups, vegetarian main dishes and appetizers, sushi. Also what looks like a full bar. Always good to make reservations. In good weather there’s outside seating overlooking the river. Just wish they wouldn’t charge extra for brown rice instead of white - they really don’t need to. This is a very popular place for the student population as well as for the adult community. A nice place to go after an event at The Forum or at the Arena. Friendly service that’s efficient unless the place is packed.Would definitely recommend.
