Staying near by the New York airport awaiting a departure flight home.Found a sensational Asian restaurant that was recommended by trip advisor.What a find;Short walk from our transit hotel.Specialised in Thai and Indian.Very expensive menu.Staff really good.Everything we ordered was home made and sensational.Good wine list - found some Australian Penfolds Shiraz.Reasonable pricing Highly recommended

This is a quirky but delicious vegetarian restaurant in a nondescript, but generally safe neighborhood in Queens smack between JFK and LaGuardia airports. This restaurant founded by students of and dedicated to Indian religious teacher Sri Chinmoy has been here for over 40 years. There is something for every vegetarian taste from Indian to Western dishes. It is affordable and fresh. Not fancy, but clean and presentable. I live in Los Angeles now, but if I worked nearby I would eat lunch here everyday.

I order a lovely meal from this restaurant , it was an international cuisine to me compare with what I am used to in UK. So many things here is always extra large. The food was delicious and I enjoy it although I couldn't finish it. The staff were lovely.

This may be the only place where we found Dhaka style Haji Biryani. The place also serves all kinds of kababs prepared excellently. We tried bihari kabab, chicken sheekh kabab and shami kabab. All prices are very reasonable. We even took some kababs home and froze them to enjoy later and they were great. This is not a fancy place. It is modest and priced accordingly. They also serve many different curries and biryanis. The borhani was also nice and went well with the biryani.
