New South Wales, Australia Food Guide: 5 Pub food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Byron Bay

May 30, 2020 Florencio Paulino

Reviews on Pub food in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. Byron Bay's beaches are dotted with lighthouses and surrounded by bottlenose dolphins, rays, whales and sea turtles. This former New South Wales whaling station turned tourist town is still strongly influenced by its recent bohemian past, when hippie lifestyles flourished. Bongos and didgeridoos sound in parks, sarongs and dreadlocks are common, and vegetarian restaurants abound. Give in to the casual vibe and stroll between beaches and bars for a low-key and happy day.

Cool spot, good range of craft brews. Friendly staff & plenty of space for big groups to spread out; Cool vibes to boot. Be aware though it's cash only before you go, bit odd.

Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a die hard carnivore (pun intended), the offerings here will satisfy the most discerning palates and ravenous appetites. Brilliant flavour combinations, cooked to perfection. We chose a number of entrees this time and the orange sesame cauliflower nibbles were the stand-out. Slightly crunchy, slightly tender, ever so lightly battered that you hardly knew they were, but a perfect amount to hold the orange sauce. On previous occasion I had jackfruit which was a total surprise and a fitting substitute for those hunting for a piece of meat! Next time I’ll be trying the Jackfruit Curry! To cap it off, all food is gluten free, so Coeliacs can feel safe. Our waitress was very welcoming and when she noticed we had s small dog with us, she offered him a bowl of water.Such a lovely review! We're so glad you AND your pup loved the service and that your meals were amazing! See you again soon John

After a superb walk around Victoria harbour front and feeling a little thirsty we enjoyed a quiet pint or two in the Sticky Wicket Pub. It was full of memorabilia and the beer was spot on, even my wife enjoyed the beer and atmosphere. Great service but the tater tots were a bit expensive for what you received.Hey! We ate dinner at Azure one night while staying at Elements of Byron. The dining area is decent, we had a table looking over the pool which was nice. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The wine list is decent although most of the options are for the bottle, not by the glass. There could be a few more red wine options by the glass.Food was very nice and about what you would expect to pay at a higher end resort like Elements. I would recommend booking ahead as the place fills up at about 7pmThank you for dinning at Azure Bar and Grill. With the recent introduction of a Coravin Wine Preserver System we now have an extensive range of wines by the Glass, including our premium range. We also have an extensive array of cocktails, bespoke spirits and craft beers available We also recommend to all guest to book ahead. Thanks again for recommending us.

Favourite place to go in Byron for some live music. They always have a bunch of great bands lined up for the night! Staff were a little bit rude to the guys in our group, but I guess they are probably just always on watch. :)
