Blackie's Restaurant

We went with our friends to Blackie’s for dinner on New Years Eve. Our friend mobility issues and the staff were so wonderful and accommodating. The restaurant was festively decorated with helium balloons, party hats and poppers. The menu was quite extensive and the wine choice was great and reasonably priced. Our friends shared a dozen local oysters for starters while my husband and I shared the salt and pepper squid and octopus. Fabulous flavour. For mains one had the chicken Asian style, one a huge succulent steak, my husband really enjoyed the Atlantic Salmon while I lived my rack of lamb. The best thing was that come 9pm we were able to watch and enjoy the fireworks from our table. So good!Have to say a big thanks to the owners and staff for a wonderful evening and for really going out of their way to look after our friend.

Its only a tiny shop that you could easily miss with outdoor seating only. A good selection of drinks and healthy snacks including many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Some prices are a little steep, but the coffee is delicious and somewhere I'd go back to.

Do not trust first impressions. In the case of this place, unassuming is just a front. Everything else about Seafarer Restaurant is top notch. Great menu, happy wine list and the food? These babies can cook. We were a group of five and we tried everything in the menu. The Spaghetti Bolognese the greatest surprise. We knew what to expect from the Pork Belly or the Lamb Shank which were just perfect. But the Spag Bol was the most originally Italian pasta I have tried in Australia since Grossi Florentino in Melbourne. Thank you chef!

Our U3A group had a wonderful Christmas lunch in December for $20 a head including a bread roll, full traditional Christmas meal, and alternate desserts. Vegetables were not over cooked or soggy, and everything seems very fresh and well presented. Excellent value, and ideal for our group of 70. Staff were very attentive and we were served at the table rather than buffet style. I have also eaten their luncheon specials from time to time, and also very good value. Wonderful outlook over the golf course. Would recommend.

It says state winner in the cafe and I know why. I have been to a few Hog's Breath but this is by far the best. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is great and cooked to perfection. comes time to pay, couldn't be easier as we had to split the bill between 4 couples. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Well done the managers/owners.

Cafe Brass Bell

We tried this place after reading some very good reviews in Tripadvisor. We arrived for brunch about 10am. There were a lot of people in the cafe. Busy. we found the only vacant table and looked through the menu. It covers most appetites. We chose Sauteed Mushrooms and Eggs Benedict with bacon. Price with 2 large coffees $45. Our coffee arrived within 5 minutes and our meals within 10 minutes of ordering. We were impressed. The meals looked great atop toasted sour dough drizzled with garlic olive oil. The eggs were perfect, the meals were not too large, just right. The flavours combined well including the grilled haloumi which I have never experienced before. We enjoyed our dishes and thought will we be back - absolutely

I was taken to lunch by my financial advisor. I had grilled flathead with salad for $19.90. The fish was dry and the salad was greens, carrot and cucumber. Tasteless. The service was fine and it's a great location. But the food was terrible and overpriced for lunch. I'm a local so sadly won't be going back

Paradise Marina Cafe

Have been frequenting this popular café on the water's edge for years. Breakfast, lunch or a refreshment of any sort.... Perfect for lunch...inside or on a deck. Always something to enjoy as there is a lot happening on the lake. A menu for all tastes...with fish, prawns, salads being popular. There is also a specials board. Order at the counter. Meals delivered. Nothing is a problem for the ever helpful staff. On a sunny day, blinds assist.... but the view is still there. Or if it is cooler, other blinds protect you from breezes. The garlic bread it as always been a great start...other faves the panko prawns, the fish....and the Caesar Salad...with salmon. Ingredients always fresh. This is a favourite place for many....couples..or groups. Parking is sometimes a trick...A small walk may be needed at times. After you have had your meal or coffee, rent a boat and go for a cruise around the lake. One of the best in town. Wish it was open for dinner.

Nice view if you can reserve a table outside. Inside is rather dark, but many locals seem to like to order drinks and bar snacks and sit outside for lengthy periods, which makes it a good local venue for them.We found the food average. The wine list is limited, but there is a good list of cocktails and mixed drinks. The waitstaff are friendly.Hi, Really don’t think this is for us as most things you’re saying is incorrect. We don’t have great views! We don’t do bar snacks! We don’t have an outside! And it’s not dark inside! But we do have a big wine list.Regards

A busy little restaurant with a great view, the bar selection was extensive and reasonably priced. It was hard to choose from the menu, the oysters with the avocado were absolutely delicious, the Atlantic salmon had perfect crispy skin and the flavour was amazing, the selection of tapas we had was just yum! Great service, it is a little loud in the restaurant but it was fine for us! Hi Tiffany, we are so happy you found the food, view and the service to be excellent. We truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know all these kind words. Hope you'll be back again soon. Kind regards,Management team
