Pandanus Cafe

Alfresco beachside dining under the Surf Club on beautiful Cabarita Beach. Open daily from 8am. Meals available upstairs in the Surf during Bar Opening Hours.

Well, you wouldn’t think in beautiful Cabrita Beach, it would be difficult to find a cook, but they must be rarer than winning the lottery. I asked staff whether this was normal, and was told unfortunately yes......pictures speak louder than words, these were four beef burgers, with bacon and egg....total including calamari entree $126.00. So look and avoid.

My husband and I visited Fins last night and I’m still dreaming about the food. I’ve never tasted food like it and we have been to some pretty superb restaurants around the world. We chose the 4 course set menu and could not fault it. AND the service was just as good. The staff were so lovely and we even got to chat to the chef. Such a romantic quaint place to dine. This dining experience should be on everyone’s bucket list. We will be back !!! Wow thank you so much for your words!! That means the world to us to have this kind of feedback! We look forward to having you back at Fins.

the atmosphere was positive, happy & clean. the service was efficient & price was average. the coffee was cold & the cake had been pre-frozen, it was hard & not fresh. this is very disappointing for a venue that advertised cake & coffee as a promotion. The cake was disgusting, I will have a coffee again but will not have the cake.

Was not overly impressed with this Restaurant. I am not one to find a lot wrong with a venue but.The staff are very courteous however the food we thought was pretty average for Chinese Quisuine. We had an entree of the simple steamed dumplings and spring rolls. The dumplings were hard balls of a pork? substance difficult to eat and the spring rolls were different. For mains we had Special fried rice, ok and steamed rice to have with sweet and sour pork, tasty and chicken with a Malaysian sauce, average, not really my thing, however my wife quite like it.My only complaint here was these meals each of around $17 are banquet sized and would suit a shared 4 person sitting, this would include the special fried rice. I'm happy with that but when you have to leave at least 2 servings of each on the plate, you sit and wonder why don't they cater for a two person sitting where you could have smaller servings and maybe an extra plate of something for the varied taste. I would not attend this restaurant againHi Alan,Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit to our Dragon Sea Restaurant. I do apologise for the poor dining experience that you have witnessed, it appears that we have missed the mark in maintaining our high standards that we set here.I have spoken with our Chef's yesterday regarding the quality of the meals that were served and informed them of your complaint. Our portion sizes are quite large and we see that as value for money, however the point you raise regarding a two person serving is something I will raise as a future development of our menu.Alan, could you confirm that the waitress' offered take away containers to you to take the remaining food home with you? This is a standard procedure and I would like to ensure that it has been followed.Again Alan, please accept my apologies for the poor experience. Thank you for providing feedback, it's the only way we can improve.I hope that you will give us another chance in the future.Regards,Nick BrabhamGeneral Manager

When you stay at Cabarita/Bogangar this is one place to suit - it has a courtesy bus! Is also a great place to eat - Chinese is great, fish is great BUT the pizza from the Bar is not so good. Tried it, don't like it - had grit all over the base (not just the bottom). the other up-side is the friendly staff.Hi Sandra,Thanks for your review of our club, I'm glad that you enjoyed our friendly hospitality and restaurant dining options.I am saddened that you didn't enjoy our pizza and would love to have a discussion if you were willing to find out a bit more.If you would like to contact the club on (02) 6676 1135 or email me at [email protected] so we can have a chat, that would be great.Nick BrabhamGeneral Manager

Dined with a friend for lunch. The bill was close to $300 which included a bottle of champagne ($140) but unfortunately not much to eat! We had a few prawns, the tiniest meat skewers you've ever seen, some vegetable sides and a really awful, badly cooked piece of rubbery fish. Left hungry and feeling like we'd been ripped off. The service was good but the food is nothing special and the portions ridiculously small. I would recommend going for a cocktail - it's a lovely setting - and that's about it.
