It's hard around Jersey because everyone thinks of Spanish food as Mexican or Caribbean ( South American). Then there's the Portuguese palate of food in Newark. Now a couple of other good Portuguese restaurants popped up in South River and Perth Amboy. My favorite is BASQUE. Northern Spain. Similar to Portuguese but different. The difference is some dishes. Garlic shrimp and Spanish sausage are great in both restaurants. But you can't find Pork & Clams in a Basque restaurant and you can't find Veal Extremena in a Portuguese restaurant. Both delicious by the way. The taste of the food in this restaurant is out of this world. Garlic....Butter...Fresh made breads and Sangria. You can't beat it. And if you want something special just ask the owner, Louie and he will make sure you are pleased. It may not be cheap but you get what you pay for. And enough for lunch tomorrow.

I try to avoid chain restaurants, but I live in Jersey so there's no escaping them. As chain restaurants go, though, this Bonefish Grill location exceeds all expectations! I live around the corner so have come here many times. Whether for drinks at the bar, dessert and coffee, or a full-on dinner, I have never had a bad experience here. The food is excellent, and I must say that the scallops are always prepared perfectly (which is no small feat)! The drinks are also very good, and on the strong side. Service is friendly and timely, and the restaurant offers great brunch and other specials as well. Overall, this Bonefish Grill is well worth a visit. Salud!

Great food and fabulous deals on weekday lunch. I must say though Iâve been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and the service was always excellent but not so much this time. Maybe because they have new owners they havenât staffed up yet which I hope they do by the next time we go. After all there is a myriad of good Spanish restaurants in the area so you always want to put your best foot forward. Good luck to them. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review! All I can say is that every time I have an out of town guest I take them to Limani and they are so impressed. They waiter, Alejandro is my favorite although everyone is so friendly and professional. Just be prepared to over eat as you will want to get an appetizer and entre and taste and share with your family and friends. The fish is so fresh and cooked to perfection!! And even better, it's byob and if you forgot to bring there is a wine store that delivers :) Just please don't take up all of the reservations for the next year!!

The Restaurant is located in a strip mall. We have come here twice in the last few months â the first time with family and recently with friends. We were happy with our dinners both times.Their Wine List is extensive, and the food is wonderful. During our two visits, we tried different dishes from their regular and specials menu â Branzino, Chilean Sea Bass, Halibut, Osso Bucco, Linguini Fra Diablo, Shrimp and Scallop Risotto, etc. Along with their warm starter bread, we also had Special Salad with Endives and Thai Chili Calamari. Both times, we had the Bread Pudding for Dessert. Every dish was notably good and prepared well according to our specifications. The portions were adequate and the presentations were appetizing. As expected, the service was prompt and attentive, and we never had to ask for anything.This restaurant has the perfect ambiance for Italian food aficionados, and whenever we get into the discerning mood for fine dining, we will certainly return.

Our 'foodie" friend came in from Denver to host a family dinner for us...I narrowed selection to 12 Islands and some other local Itakian eatieries and decided on 12 Islands....best decision ever...I had made reservations early in week and wait staff was incredibly comprehensive in descriptions of specials and menu entrees...The grilled octopus was soo tender and lightly dressed...we had 2 millinenials who swore they would never taste savor it...daughter had greek chicken with pasta thet was a winner and lunch today, son had gyro incedible portion...2 of us had seafood with pasta and white sauce which was incredible but the utimate winner was the grilled seafood platter with lemon potatoes. Crisp clean Greek wine...It was indeed a special meal ...wanted dessert but we wew all too full...host said later we should have taken baklava to go...Truly a hidden pleasure that I want to rediscover with friends in the future.
