So, they may have just been having a bad night. Tonight the waiter and the chef were off their game.We used to go to Cross Culture quite regularly and the food was always relatively good.Tonight it was awful. Maybe on a Sunday they give the ‘A’ team the night off and allow the ‘B’ team a turn at the crease. The food was greasy and tasteless. I never complain, but on this night I did, but the waiter told me that it was exactly what I ordered. Apparently I ordered greasy tasteless food.I don’t understand how the recent reviews can be so good when our experience was not so good.

We were a team of 7 here for lunch on a Saturday. Though I have been here a couple of times a year ago, this was the first time I had the lunch buffet. The spread was good. Since we strolled in at 2pm, we didn't find the starters fresh. The refills for the buffet was reasonably quick, the rotis/naans were acceptable. The service was good. I would put this experience at 3.5 on the TA scale of 1-5.

It was great for a quickie lunch with its ready buffet, but not one item was noteworthy...Tandoori chicken dry and hard to find the chicken on the bone; cashew vegetables rather tasteless; curry chicken dry and dull; and so forth. Nice bread, pleasing and pleasant service, but at $2/drink and a total bill with tip of $32 for lunch, not really good value and rather ordinary fare.

We've eaten here a few times, and have generally enjoyed the food, in particular liking the novelty of some meals served on banana leaves. However, the service is disorganized (reminds me of eating in a restaurant in India) and the ambience is not that relaxing. On one occasion we felt we were being ushered out of the restaurant by overly attentive waiters at 9:30 pm. Happy to go with friends who enjoy it, but we would not go on our own.
