I met with my family who come to this restaurant on a regular basis. I was visiting NJ and we decided to meet here. First impression would be walking through the parking area of which there are plenty of spaces available. The aroma outside draws you in! Inside the restaurant is roomy and beautifully decorated. On to the food! We ordered several appetizers...grilled chorizo sausage slices, garlic shrimp, garlic mushrooms, calamari(the best that I have EVER had ever!) All of the appetizers were amazing! They bring to the table a bowl of incredible Kalamata olives, so delicious we ordered them over and over and over again! They also serve warm bread with butter. The service is impeccable! Attentive without being intrusive. When you order your entree, it’s a large serving, but they also bring to the table a huge bowl of saffron rice served family style. So very good! This was a fine dining experience in every aspect. The food is outstanding, the service is as good as it gets and the restaurant is beautiful. The Sangria was so delicious too! All of my future trips back to NJ will include a visit here for dinner! It was the BEST imho... If you enjoy delicious , QUALITY seafood then you should try this restaurant! The menu is extensive with many seafood entrees available! I HIGHLY recommend it! They also have beef and chicken dishes on the menu.

Until I had the opportunity to explore more of the Mexican restaurants in my area, this was a go-to restaurant for me. This restaurant is closed on Mondays and is BYOB. It is small with limited seating, especially for large groups. With the small space, tile floor and televisions, it can be quite loud when there is a full house. I enjoyed the dishes on the menu such as their burrito and enchilada, the bistec dishes and also a special they had one day of posole. The green and red sauces are flavorful too. I visit these Mexican restaurants with friends who are Mexican so they give me great insight into what is 'authentic'. When another Mexican friend was visiting, they conversed with the woman working there (one of the owners?) about intensifying the spices for their palates. She explained that the dishes are tamed down for the general American palate but that she would ask the chef to do so. I don't know what was said to the chef, or if she was having one over on us, but the spice added to my dish was so intensely spicy, I could not taste anything for hours. It was overwhelming and slightly painful. My Mexican friends also deemed it too spicy and basically inedible.I realize we asked for them to make a difference, but when we explained it was too much, the woman simply laughed. Needless to say, I have not returned and have no intention of doing so. There are MUCH better Mexican restaurants - more authentic AND cheaper with larger portions -- in an area only two towns away.
