La Toscana

Reviewed By OilRover - Houston, Texas

I only ate out three times while I was in Neuquén on business but La Toscana was the best restaurant that I visited. The atmosphere in this large restaurant is superb - very classy in fact. I was also impressed by the large selection of different dishes. I opted for the local trout, served up in an iron baking dish with roasted potatoes around the edge. There was a good selection of wine and our group of 20 sampled red wines from Mendoza and from the Neuquén region. This restaurant should not be missed if you want a first class dining experience!

El Boliche de Alberto

If you are not a fan of grilled red meat, stop Reading. This is about terrific, tender beef grilled using only salt but done absolutely perfectly. Great service, a nice bottle of Argentinian Malbec and a wonderful steak...that defines eating in Argentina. Add to the experience is the extra value of the "blue" dollar making our meal 30% less than the official exchange rate.

Casa Tinta Restaurante

We had the pleasure to dine in this cosy restaurant just outside the city center of Neuquén.
The menu changes regularly and has a 3-course menu for 165 Ar$ (february 2014). The menu is really varied and includes a vegetarian option.
The food was delicious and the chef is very friendly. The preparation and presentation shows the chef really cares about the food and his restaurant. Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere, families, couples, friends of all ages coming and going.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
The food took a little while to arrive but was very impressive when it came.
I had the Beef Chorizo and it was wonderful, wish I'd been a bit more daring and asked for more medium rare than medium.
Would definitely eat there again and sample more of their beers.

The service in this pub is excellent, with friendly attentive staff. The food includes a good variety of great crispy pizzas, paninis and some German- inspiration dishes, such as saussages with a side dish. There are also good options for vegetarians. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, suitable both for meeting friends and going out with your family. There is a nice outdoor garden where you can enjoy your meal and a variety of beers brewed there.

Helados Jauja Neuquen

Neuquen city franchise of famous artisan ice cream from El Bolson.

Reviewed By geoloboy - Buenos Aires, Argentina

Jauja is an ice-cream shop from El Bolsón, Argentina, which has expanded then to Bariloche, Neuquén and even Buenos Aires. It is one of the best ice-creams you can get in Argentina, no doubt about it. Lots of patagonian fine-fruit flavors, some others are quite original (dulce de leche with blueberry, mate cocido with sugar, blueberry with sheep's milk). My favourite: "chocolate con naranjitas" (sort of bitter chocolate with sugary orange zest)
Do not hesitate and go give it a try if you are wondering through Neuquen downtown.

Cannot recommend their flavors enough!!! I am biased so.... Dulce de leche Piré, chocolate blanco, tiramisú, limon Chapelco, mousse de limón they are sublime! I had some lunch sometimes and tea other times. It's a nice place but I'd rather buy a kilogram of ice...MoreThank you so much! Come back soon!

Sibari

Cuore di Panna serves good quality ice-cream, to have it in the shop or just to go. The product is quite creamy and the flavors are special (try the zambaglione!).
The shops are quite nice if you are willing to sit down for a while and enjoy some ice-cream both with people or just on your own.
