I am living since two years in Bacolod City and in my opinion Diamond Palace is by far the best Chinese restaurant in town. The place is very Chinese (owner and guests). You can select your grouper or crab from the aquarium. Their crab sotanghon is the best I ever had. They have also menus like shark fins, bird nests, goat I never tried. The rice dishes are delicious. Grouper, crabs and roasting platter as wells as lechon Macao are a must try. Please leave me a chair free...

My sister invited me for a dinner with her family and my brother's family too. They had been here before so I told myself this can be good, since my brother-in-law is so picky when it comes to food.Place: close to the sea port of Bacolod City. Maybe it can be a wharf as well. It is ckose to the old port or wharf of the city.Food: Seafoods are freshly cooked. They also have pork, beef and others. But I prefer seafood and will highly recommend a seafood.Price: $$-$$$Now the conusing part is that in there website, it says that they are open from 11Am to 12Pm. It meas that they are open from 11AM until 12 MN, they could have interchangeably thought that PM is the same as MN. Also they are close every thursday.Service: good and accommodatingOverall: i will be coming back for sure.

They have air condition area but not the whole place is air conditioned, so it's better to come at night so it's not too hot. Fried chicken with their special sauce and the roasted beef is the specialty here

They have amazingly flavorful food. This restaurant is located in one of the side streets in the city. You will know you are near because the traffic slows down and you see a lot of pedestrians crossing the street (customers coming and going). Upon arrival, make sure you secure a table before you line up to chose your food otherwise they wouldn’t entertain you. While falling in line, you need to glance at the assortment of fresh seafood being offered and you need to mentally prepare your order. They accept 1/4 K as smallest order. Example 1/2 Kilo of squid cooked adobo style and another 1/2 kilo cooked sizzling, 1 kilo of shrimps cooked in garlic butter, 1 big slice of fish cooked sinigang style and another slice cooked with garlic, scallops, chicken ..... After ordering, they give you a number so the waiter bring to you your order once it is cooked. They have very fast service , at the table, you order for your rice and drinks. As I said they have very tasty food. I think part of the experience is the ambience. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and crudely made up of several levels with long tables and chairs next to each other. They have an airconditioned room but its always full so if you want to stay there you will have to wait for your turn. Actually the whole restaurant is always full. Its noisy because of the crowd. But then the ambience is part of the experience, and when the food is served, everything was well worth the wait.
