Here every Tuesday night with a group of locals . Strictly a beer bar with Coors and Pabst on tap. Still sells beer in 10 oz beer glasses but very inexpensive. Say hello to Ollie. She knows everybody.

We tried Buffalo Wild Wings and found the place way to noisy, the wings expensive and the service was average at best. If you like watching 20 simultaneous sporting events with sound from one of them this may be your place. Large wings, two beers, and tater skins, $54.00. nuf said
I was traveling through and wanted something more than the usual fast-food chains and narrowed my search down to two local breweries/pubs. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong one. While Platte Valley does have somewhat of a "Cheers" atmosphere, the lone bartender/server was overwhelmed on a Saturday night. The beer was good but the food service was bottom of the barrel. I initially tried to get a 6"inch personal pizza but was told that the pizza dough is frozen and their supplier didn't have enough today. OK. A little while later, I asked for a Cheesey Garlic Bread --- 6" not 12". Again, I was told that it was frozen and they were out. Seriously? You can't cut one in half? I think this spot overall with the TVs controlled by one guy sitting at the bar is really just a beer spot. Don't think about any reasonably tasty food here unless you bring your own from the grocery store. Sad! It could be such a good spot.
We watch sports at "Fans" and enjoy the atmosphere, the great chicken wings and the best homemade bar pizza in the area. Staff is always friendly and it doesn't have the loud noise like BWW has. You can actually enjoy the game on the big screens and talk to your friends.

When on the road, I stopped by the Jerseys Sports Bar in Kearney, Nebraska. Great service and good food. Donny, my server took very good care of me. I ordered the Patty Melt (with Thousand Island on the side) and Onion Rings (they are the best!). Pure deliciousness!

A unique twist of rustic/modern industrial restaurant set right on the lake. Enjoy our all season indoor/outdoor space unlike any around. This Cunningham's Journal offers a varied menu with an emphasis on great burgers and grilled skewers but with somethi
I ordered a cheeseburger cooked âmediumâ . It was so burned that by the time I trimmed off the inedible portion my half pound burger had turned into a quarter pounder. Judge for yourself. I am a local customer and it will be a long time before I return.

They have a good selection of bar food and you can see it prepared through windows if you are curious. They also offer a bar and good selection of beers on tap from other microbreweries. They also offer Keno generated by a ball machine, so results are more random than playing against a computer. Help is friendly and efficient. I will be back.

Easy access off I80 & just off the main road in town and conveniently located within walking distance of several hotels Copper mill Steakhouse is a relatively new addition to Kearney. The atmosphere is comfortable and it is easy to have a conversation at your table while not listening to your neighbors. We stopped for a late lunch after the Universityâs Spring graduation. I donât believe they are normally open for lunch & it was not busy. Only 1/2 the restaurant was full. It would appear they were prepared for this âspecialâ day with luncheon menus and were properly staffed on the floor. Kitchen was a bit slow pushing out orders though. I had called ahead and when we arrived 5 minutes later our table of 10 was ready & preset with waters & menus. Menu was ample. Service staff was excellent. They were spot on with refills & anything we asked for. The focaccia was excellent. Perfect tenderness and flavor. Salads served on pre chilled on pewter plates. I ordered the Swiss & mushroom burger MR but changed out the cheese & no bun. It was a very unappetizing presentation. No tomato lettuce or onion. Bottom of burger was burnt. Burger was well done. Another in our party didnât want their burger condiments so I ate theirs. Another ordered the Salmon pasta. The cream sauce was perfect in flavor & plate presentation rocked. The stroganoff cream sauce sans the mushrooms was also very good. If this is house made, whomever makes it does a great job on their sauces. Their truffle fries were excellent. Donât have a pic of them but perfect in texture and just the right amount of seasoning. A garlic aioli was served on the side in a timble and quite bitey. I love raw garlic but for most it was overpowering. The 3 children with us ordered kids meals of chicken fingers & burgers. The portions were very large. It was enough to take home for the kids for dinner. The restaurant has a full bar & well appointed wine list. The bar does have seating & TVâs and is tucked away on far side of restaurant. Our ticket for 6 adults, 2 kids, 1 beer, 1 mixed drink, 2 soft drinks came to: $174.They did not add a standard gratuity. All in all it was ok. Not sure we will return when back in Kearney. You should definitely give it a try.

My brother and sister-in-law took us to Cunninghamâs Journal for lunch. The setting on lake is wonderful and there are so many options where to dine - on the marvelous flower-filled deck, the area right inside the deck or in the restaurant itself. Our server, Kaitlin, was great. She checked back with us several times and was in tune with what we would like. The food selection is incredible and we each had something different, pizza, quesadillas, buffalo bleu hamburger and Cajun hamburger. We were amazed at the quality of the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or passing through Kearney.

Woodstone oven pizzas, calzones, salads served with wonderful craft brews.
We stopped here after reading good reviews and wanted something that wasn't a chain restaurant. Big selection of beers available. Menu was mostly pizza, and what we had was great. Definitely more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. Our server was indifferent and had little personality. Good place if you're wanting something local and different.
