& of us ate at the La Trocha last night. We had wonderful service from the Chef/owner and his wife Ileana. We all enjoyed the special sauce on Corvina and others on beef!
Make sure you are very hungrey as the plates are HUGE!
Restaurant is in a neighrbor hood away from traffic. Thank you for the wonderful service and dinner.

My companion and I had breakfast here. For me the Desayuno Aleman and mi amiga the French Toast. Both done to request, filling and delicious! We sat on the side balcony well screened from the noise of the street. The waitress was attentive and solicitious. The menu offers a wide range of dinning choices for breakfast, lunch, or a complete dinner. The venue also offers a range of canned goods emphsizing German fare. My companion found her favorite, saurkraut, no mean feat in a Latin country. Also, in keeping with the German theme, is a display case of meats, German sausage included, and various breads, cakes, torts, empanadas, media lunas, and jams and marmalade. Pickles even! Superb!

We stopped by El Mirador for lunch - a little disappointing. First, it was early afternoon and they had workers loudly doing construction on the roof (I didn't know this until after we ordered) - this was at 1:30pm - certainly they could have waited until their afternoon closing time of 3pm??
Ordered typical costa rican dishes - the service was good, but the food was pretty bland overall. Not bad, just not great. Restaurant is clean and staff is friendly, while prices are good. Hopefully we visited on an off day for the kitchen.

This is our “go to” restaurant when visiting Naranjo.. Every meal I’ve tried (Spaghetti, Gordon Blue, Lasagna, Chicharrones, Hamburger to name a few) have always been very good. Drink menu is very nice as well. The staff is attentive and the one waiter that always seems to be there recognized us on our second visit back. They also speak English for those that may not know much Spanish. Great food, great drinks, great service, great place!

Aromas is a interesting example when a small business grow quality drop! However since I am from San Ramon I have seen the different stages of this business and I feel quality of the food is good and very practical system to order. The time of response varies depending the day and some days is sooooo slow the service that my friends get frustrated and doesn't want to come back BUT others everything is fast. Prices are a little expensive than others but I know that the foreigners love the place because is a mix between local food and something that they are more used to. In general still is a nice to have a good coffee and a good conversation with a friend IF you are not in limited of time!

Very friendly staff and great pizza. A block from the square. Pizza is then crust and ingredients were very fresh.

A little difficult to find, however, worth the effort. The service was good, the atmosphere and surroundings are delightful. The menu has great selections, fish, carnie and pasta dishes... I had the Sea Bass, the wine selection is limited with few beers to choose.

If you are driving north from the airport in San Jose, this is a must stop! The food is wonderful. Fresh baked pizza in a stone oven. The ingredients are as fresh as can be. Pizza crust is thin, and so tasty. Service is friendly and they do speak English. The restaurant is immediately after the toll plaza so stay in the right lane and look for the sign. Sit outside on the patio and enjoy the breeze, the natural beauty and the great food.

We were greeted by John and the service was courteous. The food is outstanding and varied, the ceviches delicious , the hamburger with fries cooked the way I wanted . Good atmosphere with musical events at night. We really would recommend this place.Thank you very much!! We hope to see you soon!

Charming, casual Italian restaurant and pizzeria under a beautiful palapa roof. Wonderful friendly owner from Italy and great service! The highlight of Costa Rica dining until now. A bit hard to find, but worth the effort, just outside Naranjo. Don't miss the panna cotta for dessert!
