Namwon (Korean pronunciation: [nam.wʌn]; Namwon-si) is a city in North Jeolla Province, South Korea. Namwon is about 50 minutes from the provincial capital of Jeonju, which is almost three hours away from Seoul. The official city flower is Royal Azalea (철쭉) while the city tree is the crape-myrtle (배롱나무) and the city bird is the swallow (제비). Namwon is a small city located just outside Jirisan National Park, which has the largest set of mountains on the South Korean Mainland. It also borders the Seomjin River, one of South Korea's more prominent rivers. It is 3 hours and 15 minutes from the Seoul Central City Bus Terminal (via direct bus) and about one hour from both the U-Square Bus Terminal in Gwangju and the Jeonju Inter City Bus Terminal (depending on traffic). It is called "the City of Love" because of the famous Korean love story of Chunhyang. Gwanghallu Garden is a shrine to this love story.

제가 이제까지 먹었던 추어탕은 다 거짓같았습니다. 현식당이 정말 남원 최고의 맛집이네요. 검색해서 다른 맛집들도 가봤지만 여기가 제일 인상깊어요. 또 먹고 싶네요.

100년 역사가 있는 중국집으로 무려 4대째 업을 이어가고 있는 곳입니다.
맛이 없다면 이렇게 오랜 역사가 지속될 수 없겠죠.
탕수육은 겉은 드세지 않지만 바삭하고,
속은 촉촉하고 부드러운 식감이 아주 일품입니다.
간짜장 또한 적당하게 잘 익혀진 양파와 고기가 푸짐하고,
볶음상태도 좋습니다.
남원에 다시 갈 일이 있다면 꼭 재방문하고 싶습니다.

광한루와 가깝고 주변에 강가를 따라 산책로도 있어서 좋았습니다. 시내와도 가깝구요. 게스트하우스와 함께 찻집을 함께 운영하고 한옥 건물이라 일반 커피숍과는 색다른 느낌을 받을 수 있어 좋았습니다. 내부도 넓고 편안하게 차 한잔 즐기기에 좋습니다.

지리산 둘레길 중 길의 구성이 다양하고 사이사이 음식점과 커피숍이 있는 3코스(인월-금계코스)의 시작점인 인월 탐방안내소 바로 인근에 있는 식당이다.

남원에서 추어탕으로 잘 알려져 관광객이 늘 많아요. 사실 특별한점은 못찾겠구요. 추어탕은 다비슷한거같아요. 산초를 어떻게 자신이 배합하는지가 중요한듯. 그래도 만원이하에 맛있는 식사를 할수있으니 만족합니다

Good taste but not so good to line up for long. Cream soboro bread is popular but I prefer sausage bread and almond bread.

남원추어탕이라는 간판을 붙이고 영업하는 음식점들이 상당히 많은데... 정작 남원에서 맛보는 추어탕의 맛은 어떨까... 나름 서울에서 이름난 남원추어탕에서 먹는 그것보다 훨씬 더 진한 맛이다... 결코 가볍지 않은 맛... 맛으로만 따지면 동그라미 5개인데... 아쉽게도 서비스가 맛을 따라오지 못했다... 그렇다고 불친절하다는 말은 아니다... 개개인의 취향을 무시하고 자신들이 만든 그 맛에 내 입맛을 맞추라는 식의 태도가 거슬렸을 뿐... 어떻게 보면 그만큼 맛에 자신있다는 표현이기도 하겠지만...
