This is a Bungalow turned into a tourist home. The place is run by a manager named Terrance who is looking after his uncle’s property. Terrance is a very caring manager and almost always worried.
We were 2 girls (sister & myself) aiming to climb the peak. The odds of reaching this place from Ella looked very meek. We started from Ella at 3:30 PM, which worried Terrance. However we promised him that we would make it … by hook or crook.. ;)
The rooms are not well kept, but suit a backpacker perfectly. It’s the closest home stay you would find as you climb down the peak… for this very reason you will thank yourself a 100 times for choosing this home stay.
Terrance will go out of his way to make you feel comfortable, right from booking a tuk tuk, to serving hot food, guiding you about the places nearby and also cautioning you.. All these come with unlimited tea served with loved. There is also a flask filled with hot tea kept on the dining table.
We almost gulped down our last mug of tea before leaving as we felt Terrance wouldn’t let us step out of the home stay otherwise.

This place, which has been refurbished very recently, is ideal to break your journey from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya if you are travelling from Avissawella side. The restaurant serves very good tea and we also had a very tasty piece of chocolate cake. The toilets are very clean.

Excellent place to chill out before or after climbing Adam's Peak. Best coffee you can have around, and yummy pancakes. The owner Theeba is a very nice young man, very kind, very helpful. Nallathanniya is a very small town and nothing to do other than Adam's Peak. It was a big pleasure to spend time in Chill Out Cafe and have conversation with dear Theeba

A very stylish and contemporary restaurant with excellent food to match. The restaurant owner has a collection of curiosities that we looked around whilst the food was being prepared. The food was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced.
The staff provided the best customer service and I appreciated that the male staff checked with me that I was enjoying the food and also talked to me about my holiday. Many times in other places the conversations have only been directed at my boyfriend.
As it is a new place the manager showed us the brand new hotel upstairs which looks fabulous and we would love to stay there too.
Highly recommended.

Because of restaurant is open to the air comes through the Adams Peak you can enjoy the nice view and breath some fresh air while you’re having your meal. It’s kind of a perfect place for relax and even for go through a book while keep your mind calm with the surrounding. You can see Ella Rock and also the Little Adam’s Peak from our restaurant.<br><br>You can enjoy a wide range of healthy dishes

Stopped here for a fresh fruit juice. Excellent taste and friendly staff. Nice balcony as well. Located 2-mins walking from the start of the Adam’s Peak.
