Excellent and traditional kitchen with modern elements (patisserie, molecular kitchen), but just right so quality and taste do not suffer. Not cheap, but excellent products and traditional cooking with a modern twist justify it. Nice ambiente on the Terrace - quality everywhere, from the furniture over the table cloths to the gardening. The best non-Michelin-stared Restaurant I have eaten at for a long time.

Excellent food and portions OK. Although the menu is not so large, you can find something for everybody. Nice ambience. Advise dining in the small guest rooms, the large room appears to be too sterile and has no atmosphere.
Although we were 10 diners, the courses all arrived on time and together !

I really want to recommend this place and get it bumped up the list of top restaurants in Badenweiler, not least because it is German in a town full of Italian restaurants (why???) Good hearty dishes, massive portions, traditional decor. They also have a menu in English which is a bonus. I am suitably embarrassed by my terrible 'O' Level German and deserve to struggle with my 'Gutedelrahmsuppe' and 'tannengerauchter schwarzwalder schinken's but it was a relief to be handed a full translation!

Turnhalle is not a gourmet restaurant, but offers everything you can wish for from a pizza place. A huge range of tasty pizzas, pasta dishes and several good vegetarian options at very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly, though a bit stressed at times, as it always seems to be busy. There is utdoor Seating, but it is right by the main road. However - in the evenings there is not much traffic. Make Reservations, especially on weekends and public holidays.

We did not stay here so can only comment on the food. We chose the set menu as we had no idea of the menu as our German is non existent and they do not do an English version. What we got was wholesome and very traditional which many others in the room were also enjoying. Not everyone's idea of gourmet food but excellent just the same

Restaurant is in the center of small town, has nice outside sitting area. Quite a simple place, not luxury. But we enjoyed it as simple food was good quality. In the menu you will find pizzas, soups, many salads and schnitzel. We had goulash soup and pizza that were very tasty. Simple wine was decent. You have to pay only cash. Prices are low.

If you want to be able to choose from a wide variety of local food specialties and wines, this is the place to go. Friendly, competent in every way, efficient, knowledgeable staff. They chose a perfect local rosé to go with our various dishes. Cosy, warm welcoming atmosphere. They also cater to special food desires/orders of their clients! Everything is possible. Great place, highly recommended. Thanks a lot for your kindness and understand.

We went into this restaurant to have lunch. We'd been in there before once a few years ago and had been more or less the only customers and had only had a snack. This time the place was more than half full. We were taken into a back room, which, as such, was okay. But then the table next to ours got taken by our waitress's son, husband and assorted friends, and they were extremely loud. The kid kept playing with a new electronic toy. Well, not the restaurant's fault, of course, but still ... . It then took a good while before we could even place our order ... then we waited, and waited ... and waited ... the appetizer then came together with the main course ... the food was okay, nothing at all wrong with it, but nothing special either. The serving staff were all very friendly as such, but the overall experience was not satisfactory. We won't go back there.

Very good location, central but quiet. Really good coffee, small selection of cakes of good quality. Ice cream for what you can expect in Germany good. Friendly efficient service!
