Condeixa-a-Nova (Portuguese pronunciation: [kõˈdɐjʃa ˈnɔvɐ]), also known as Condeixa, is a town and a municipality in the district of Coimbra, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 17,078, in an area of 138.67 km². It is located 15 km south of Coimbra, and is part of the Região de Coimbra. The town is known for the ancient Roman settlement of Conímbriga which is located nearby, and includes a museum and the well-preserved ruins.

Unfortunately it was really a bad experience. I was with two girlfriends, we made a reservation at 9.30 PM, our bad we never been in Coimbra and we walked there by foot so we arrived 5 min later. We came in and we wait 10 minutes until a lady yelled at us in Russian, saying that she already told us to wait outside! I told her that it wasnât us and that we had a reservation. She walked away without answering. Then came who we think was the owner (or manager). She was REALLY RUDE with us and told us that she called us at 9.30 but we werenât there so our table was gone..... we decided to wait a little bit to have another table. We wait until 10.30/45 PM and at the end they put us in the other room that they have (like tapas bar, not restaurant). The food was good and the staff nicer. If you decide to go, go in the tapas part!!!! Not at the restaurant!!!

Everything went wrong in this restaurant. Sparkling water was ordered but a non sparkling was served. The required linguine turned out to be tagliatelle and the ordered medium filet mignon turned out to be almost raw. No word of apologies! On top of that, the atmosphere is not very exiting to put it mildly and the service is extremely lousy!Dear Customers,We regret that the service did not meet your ambitions.We appreciate your comment and analysis that allows us to try to work better.We are an ambitious team that needs constant input from our customers.We hope that one day they will be able to return and get a different image of our restaurant.Best regards,Jose Miguel

The Cheese tasting board was excellent but the wines were superb. Our host has an extensive knowledge and passion for Portuguese wines. This was a memorable evening.
