I am always suspicious of restaurants that have a mix of cuisines, such as an Italian restaurant that also sells Mexican food, or as in this case a Vietnamese restaurant that also sells sushi.We visited for lunch and the place was quiet but also welcoming, nice decor and friendly staff.The food however was just ok - and it took far too long to arrive for a lunchtime when people are on a lunchbreak. The Vietnamese dishes were very Germanised, and not too authentic, but they tasted ok. We asked for fish sauce with chillis and instead of fresh chillis, got a splat of chili sauce in a dish.The sushi however was the worst sushi I have ever eaten.. Not only were the pieces tiny (the Nigiri was really small - a ball of rice the size of an almond with a slice of fish on top about 3mm thick), the nori/seaweed was tough like rubber and impossible to chew. I chose a Sushi platter of 6 tiny Nigiri, 4 maki and 4 inside out sushi - and it cost â¬15!The other dishes are similarly higher-end cost.The average rating is based on the friendly staff and that the Vietnamese offerings were only good, just not great.

The waiter didn't serve us what we ordered, my mushrooms were dirty with soil on them and the soup I got didn't taste good. Bad experience.

Visited here on my own as part of a business trip.From the layout of the place you can tell they mostly do take away, but the presentation was very nice and the sushi was excellent.Also, very reasonably priced!

Gestern besuchten wir zum zweiten Mal dieses kleine vietnamesische Restaurant.Es ist einfach und rustikal eingerichtet und bei guten Wetter kann man auch an ein paar Tischen im Freien sitzen. Allerdings muss man wissen, dass die vielbefahrene OderstraÃe dabei keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre aufkommen lässt.Bei leichten Verständigungsschwierigkeiten ist das Personal sehr freundlich und zugewandt.Der als Vorspeise von uns bestellte Unami Salat war frisch und gut zubereitet, wobei mir, wie auch beim Hauptgericht, etwas Schärfe fehlt-aber, man kann ja nachwürzen.Wie auch bei unserem ersten Besuch, haben wir auch gestern beide Ente, in unterschiedlicher Zubereitung, gewählt.Was mich irritierte war, dass auf dem Teller noch viel Salat angerichtet war-unserer Salat vorab hätten wir uns eigentlich sparen können.Das Gemüse war schmackhaft und auch meine Entenbrust in roten Curry schmeckte mir sehr gut.Bei der Entenbrust, wir haben inzwischen den Eindruck von vier Entenbrüsten, muss man feststellen, dass hier keine 1a Ware auf den Teller kommt. Allerdings muss man auch ganz klar sehen, dass man dies bei einem Preis von 8,90⬠für dieses Hauptgericht absolut nicht erwarten darf.Insgesamt ist das Unami für einen Besuch beim Vietnamesen, einfach mal zwischendurch und zu günstigen Preisen, ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder.
