Restaurant run down (maybe ok 20 years ago). 3 star hotel reception nice and friendly. We sat at a table with view of the river in Ha Tien and hotel pool and were the only guests. Order taken promptly and politely.Unfortunately the food was terrible. We ordered fish claypot (small fish all bone) and pork clay pot (no meat all fat). Rice cold and dry. Vegetables cold. Vegetables soup big bowl mainly water. The children's chicken burger looked like sausage pate.(not KFC style like photo). Chips yellow and tasted off. When we complained we were told that we didn't know what we were talking about (my wife is Vietnamese!). We were given no apology by the Viet hotel boss or French marketing manager - I have never felt so insulted! We had seen the hotel on the TV programme about the classic car really from Cambodia to Vietnam. I have travelled all over Vietnam for 15 years and never had such a bad meal. Restaurant clearly empty for a reason!First, you do not dine in our restaurant but in the restaurant of the River Hotel, because our restaurant is located near the pool and I have never seen you there; after take informations at the waiters at the hotel they explain me the real story : you have finished all the dishes you quote ; after your wife then played a play shouting and typing on the table (all in Vietnamese) all this to have a discount on your bill ; you paid 530,000 vnd (23 USD) FOR 7 peoples BEVERAGES INCLUDED (what a sumptuous expense for a Christmas Eve);to get rid of you, the hotel has agreed to reduce your bill so as not to spoil their Christmas Eve;So it was December 24th for the Christmas Eve that we we spent very pleasantly by our pool at the green island restaurant with real customers and not with people as poorly educated as you;The River Hotel thanks you for your Christmas present since you are its worst customers of the year; you have won this prize be proud; you want butter and money to buy the butter and why not the cremiere .to finish it is worth noting that you have posted 3 reviews in your life and 2 comments are write to destroy restaurants ;which still shows your the quality of your jugementI tell our partner immediately that you have never dined with us.I hope never to have you as a customer at the green island restaurant.

The food is great and is representative of all the best Vietnamese dishes. Sate beef and beef with cheese were absolutely delicious! Give the chicken wings a miss they aren't anything special. Very reasonably priced, 30p a beer! Service wasn't amazing but that was only due to the language barrier. The menu has items in English though so we made ourselves understood.

Cafe Thuy Tien is a floating platform on the river of Ha Tien.the staff is friendly and prices are reasonable.I did not come across any foreigner. I realized this place is not listed so I made a point to share my experience.the view is simply stunning, the atmosphere relaxing.I suggest that after a good breakfast at OASIS BAR you relax at Thuy Tien. they don't speak English but the menu is in English so easy to point out what you want.we've been waiting there for 1 hour to get our rented motorbike. We spent good time there.no food served.

Place is empty most night. Very drab and dated. Staff more interested in thier phones rather than serving customers. Is near river so expect mozzies. Also on busy road. Fair walk from town and prices a little on the high side considering they are good 1km from the market.
