I went Mum's Vietmanese rest. in Basel last week. Kristina had written down the food you mentioned to eat. The waitress was a young Vietnamese and she looked at us and said â¦. that it just made her mouth water to read them. But no she didn't have any of them on her menu. We got Pho, bun and cuon. and then an ice coffee too. yuumm

We had a get together over the weekend with family and friends at this excellent Vietnamese restaurant. Roman and Knock who run the place were extremely helpful with the planning and suggested appropriate menu options to accommodate guest preferences. The restaurant has two levels and since we were a group of nearly 20, we were at the lower level where the ambience was roomy and pleasing. The food was fresh and delightful, starting with the drinks that included fruit infusions and the main course including Asian lamb, chicken and various vegetable curries with rice and noodles. The restaurant was very busy and the service was a bit slower. That notwithstanding, the staff were very nice and polite, the food delightful and the overall experience very positive. I highly recommend this restaurant for those seeking good Asian food.

The fusion of serving from a dozen Asian kitchens makes the restaurant special. From Indonesia to Japanese to Indian. But the dishes themselves are just fine. Nice beer though with the food. Eating âAsian-styleâ at long tables as if itâs a canteen. Quite fast and friendly service.

After being closed for renovation for quite some time, the Phuoc Loc Tho has opened again a couple of months ago on Kapellenstrasse, and we finally ended up going there for lunch one day. The lunch menu consisted of a choice of 5 different dishes, among them meat, seafood or vegetable curries, noodle dishes and (vegetarian) stir fries accompanied by white rice. Additionally, you got a spring roll as a starter and had the choice of a free drink.The food was plentiful and all in all okay if a little on the bland side. Nothing out of the ordinary, but also nothing to complain about. Service, on the other hand, was friendly and forthcoming, they fulfilled any special little wish we had (such as additional tap water, a veterarian instead of meat version of a particular dish, vinegar served with the first course etc.) very readily and without giving us the feeling that we were troublesome or too much work.So, considering the price range, this place is quite recommendable indeed, you'll get a warm welcome and a filling amount of food in pleasant surroundings, all for no more than 20 Swiss francs. The interiours are comfortable and pleasant and in summer, there are a couple tables outside where you can relax and have your meal.The only drawback was the fact that you couldn't order anything from the recular menu for lunch, that being reserved for dinners and weekends.
