Really? Personnel not warm at all. Barely talking. The Ukraine waitress does not even know the menu. The food is good, yet too aspirationally sophisticated and overall nothing special. There many places nearby you can have value per price. The bill was ridiculously high.

We visited Casanova several times during our stay on Elba July /August 2014. And every time was a pleasure with delicious food and excellent service.We do not speake italien and they do not speake english language. No problem. The positive attitude and "finger language" solved all problems.All dishes are delicious and absolute top value for money. Please remember to book a table in advance - this place is very popular.

After a week in Elba we found this gem. Simple beautiful Italian home cooked food. Chef recommended the vongole with gnocci and my wife had a classic carbonara. I watched and chef showed me how to make it. With wine and asparagus 30euro for too and was far far better than the number 1 trip advisor rated Tamata restaurant the night before for 160euro.

Beautiful location looking to the beach. Very nice atmosphere with warm friendly stuff. I tried my first Fresh tuna tartar - simple and fine. Good choice of local wines. Reasonably priced.

We recently enjoyed a pizza night here with friends.Light airy delicious pizza's - probably the best I have eaten & reasonably priced.We had our meal on the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea - enveloped in the warmth & tranquility of the gentle evening light. (We had pre booked our outdoor table as they are in demand!) The service was excellent, courteous and friendly. It was a a lovely relaxing "quiet" dinner experience - only a few steps away from the centre of town. I will revisit to sample other items on the menu- which coming out to other diners on the night - looked amazing! (Currently Not open for lunch)

Andrea at "Il Mandorlo" suggested this little cozy restaurant to us, saying: if you want to eat well and, somehow, something different, you should go there; well, we went, twice, which is unusual for us, since this is the place to go.Just a few selections, as it's supposed to be for a small local restaurant, but always fresh and always great.Seafood is a must and we had it twice but we've spoken with people returning for the steak.Great wine (they serve some of the best Italian wineries) and exceptional price with a friendly service.A gem at walking distance, a gem you'll have to look for and, to be sure to eat, better call and reserve the table, in advance!

I've been in this place for so many years when I was a kid. We used to stay at the Belvedere Residence, which is owned by the same family. The chef is just great and every dish is carefully cooked.

We discovered this restaurant through trip advisor and gave it a try. Set in a beautiful location, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the hills of Elba, this restaurant lived up to expectations.Lovely family run business, polite and attentive staff and last but not least great food and presentation. We be definitely be booking again when in Elba.

Highly recommended by our hotel concierge, we showed up without a reservation but the owner managed to seat us on a busy night with only a 20 minute wait, and took care of us (two obvious tourists with minimal Italian language skills) . Food was spectacular, the seafood appetizer was great, as was the lamb main course.

Great place to eat sea food in Capoliveri. One can find here local, simple and very tasty dishes made of fresh, local products. Local is run by friendly and hospitable owners. We visited this place twice during our stay in Capoliveri and each time we left this place fully satisfied. Grazie!!!
