We wanted to try this restaurant after I saw it on Tripadvisor. After we ate for few days at other restaurants we enjoyed this one a LOT. Service was top notch and immediately advised us to go to their special rather than menu as it is best bang for the buck. The house special is composed of Fish soup, Brik, Main course a full fish of the day with accompaniments desert and tea. All this for an excellent price.I personally enjoyed my Lunch, athmosphere and kindness. They don't have credit card reader, however I recommended to the cashier to get one as it will help increase their business. The place was clean and a beautiful view on the sea and the Marina. If you want to try something special you should try this place. I don't think you will be disappointed. I am going to try it at dinner as well to see how it is.

Do not waste your money...Intoxication by food... And unprofessional service...This beeing said... Just check the bathroom and the kitchen Super dirty...plastic bags around the ourside tables, smell of garbage inside...Really not worth it...And on top of all this had to be admitted to the emergency room for food intoxication....What a shame...

This is in the heart of Houmt Souk, the main shopping area of Jerba. The food is good, the price is very modest and beer and wine is served. Service was very slow on my last several visits, so if you need to meet up with a group and or a bus, taxi or flight to catch...be forewarned that the consequence of the good food, modest price and the availability of wine and beer, it has been consistently that I have experienced slow service...both from the waiters and with food coming out at varying stages. If time is not an element, it is an enjoyable restaurant. Ask for a table on the second floor.

He entire team of the restaurant Dar Hassine is pleased to welcome you in the authentic setting of a former Houch Djerban. Built around a sheltered patio, our quiet and cozy rooms allow you to enjoy a range of traditional Tunisian market and quality.
Quite a good restaurant with nothin special in particular. The location is nowhere special. The ambiance is very nice, especially the courtyard. The service is slow. The food tastes more like fast food and it seems the chef does not take heed of the whole order. I was given a small portion od salade Tunisien with potatoes as complimentary strater; I had a full salade Tunisien (extremely good taste) as first course ( I did not know that salade Tunisien had to be served also as complimentary starter) and then half an entrecote which was over cooked with, again, salade Tunisien as contour together with white rice. Tastewise there was nothing to write home about.Price - mid-range but expensive for what I ordered.

The food at Haroun is simple but good. The seafood pasta was delicate and delicious and the seafood and fish were finely grilled. The seafood rice was disappointing. We finished off with a lovely lime sorbet. The decor of the restaurant is amazing. It feels cosy even though it is large. The bathrooms are impeccably clean.

Delighted with this luncheon experience. We always seek authentic local cuisine; Essofra offers the "real deal." Our outstanding Gil Travel guide directed us here and we savored the open, comfortable, unique setting (farm implements!) as well as our friendly and ohso helpful servers. Our group of 8 ordered and shared multiple Tunisian dishes; each was more flavorful than the next. Oh my.
