It is named after the patron saint of the Divine Word Missionaries, Saint Augustine of Hippo (354-430). The Missionaries established a monastery near the current city centre in 1913. Sankt Augustin is situated about eight km north-east of Bonn and three km south-west of Siegburg.

We regularly go to the New Wok when we are in town for shopping or pre theater. Our last visit there this month was as great as many others before.The food is freshly prepared in the open kitchen and then brought to your table (or you do take away). You clean up yourself taking the trays and dishes to a rolling tray cabinet in the back. So it is a Chinese fast food place.The food is always excellent. I had duck noodles, chicken noodles, bami goreng and various other dishes. Good sized portions, very tasty, freshly prepared (that is why it is no problem for them to cater to your special wishes, I don't like bell peppers e.g. and I can just order "no bell peppers". Never a problem. People are always very friendly. Drinks are out of the bottle or can not from tab.We will be back. :-)
