Out of an increasing choice, this is probably the best bar in the city to try a range of mainstream and speciality Ukrainian beers, along with food. There is now at least one US/AUS/UK style craft beer bar, a couple of specialist beer bars which do food and mainstream beer, and a couple of brew pub / craft brewery restaurants and at least one new micro brewery. Amid the increasing choice I like bar restaurant AmBar, at Oleksandrivska, 88, behind the Palmyra mall complex, which serves probably the best range of Ukrainian styles of beer, and food that accompanies them (unlike some of the very old fashioned or even new bars not limited to the dried fish and âchipsâ - crisps & beer snacks). AmBar is a typical restaurant type âbarâ so best visited with friends. My friend and colleague Alesia introduced me to this bar, we visited twice, coming back with another University friend, and I will certainly visit again when I am next in town. The beers are expensive for Ukraine but high quality. Iâve made more detailed comparisons with other bar restaurants elsewhere but why not try for yourself and see how quality beer culture is growing in south east Ukraine.

My second time in Zaporizhzhya,and to this superb restaurant,recommended by the hotel concierge we decide to try,i have to say on first sight we did not expect to be anything special, but turnout to be a very pleasant dining experience both times,very nice food well presented,lovely wine,friendly and efficient service,overall looking forward to pay a visit on my next trip to ukraine,thanks

The rooms below have a peculiar medieval interior and are somewhat isolated from each other. To the contrast, ground level is full of uncomfortable tables put too close and is not really special at all. The food was okay (not great, but not bad either), drinks selection is average at best. Overall, it's nice if you can reserve a room below for a company, otherwise, omit it.

Friends gathering to enjoy sushi before long evening of celebrating the holiday of Traditional Christmas here. Very easy to find and the décor is wonderfully modern. Coat check is a plus. All staff greeted us with Merry Christmas and Welcome. The service was the best and so efficient. The food was very good. The Philadelphia Roll sushi had a thin pancake rolled in it. Very different with fresh fish. Best we have had here in Zaporizhye. I did have the borsch to start the meal. It was a large bowl served very hot with 2 fresh rolls, one white, one rye. Perfect to start with. End of meal was dessert. 3 different tastes, the berry cheese cake was fantastic! My chocolate torte was almost as good. Wonderful combination of layers of chocolate and cream. We will be back to taste the rest of the menu on our trip. This restaurant is highly recommended! Not far from Clock tower on Shevchenko Boulevard just past the Holiday Lights on the right.
