Service was non-existent... Only saw our waiter once after the food was served... And that was to present us with the bill!Food (sushi) was average, wine OK (but expensive by local standards). Highly overrated. You can get better sushi and definitely better service elsewhere in Durban!

We had the muscles in white wine sauce for starter and it was excellent and a generous portionWe both had the hake deep fried ( this is a great way to order it. You can peel off the batter and itâs like it was steamed ) It was delicious and 10x better than the Ocean Basket where we ate the day before The service was cheerful friendly and good An excellent experience overall

Great service at Gateway shopping centre's CTFM. Greeted with a warm welcome, our waiter made suggestions for an excellent meal. Had the 280g and 200g fish and chips. Dish was prepared to perfection. Itâs not a restaurant I would frequent for a romantic meal, but it served its purpose for my hubby and I for a quick, light dinner. Their buffet option seemed a bargain, but we opted for their half price sushi which was well priced and tasty. I would certainly try it again and try their buffet option next time. Place was clean and service was friendly and helpful. Great concept for a sushi restaurant.

I have always enjoyed Beluga from Cape Town, and found Gateway serves same quality delicious food. They offer great value for money with 50% less on dimsum and sushi daily during certain times. The dim sum and sushi we had, was very tasty, especially the beef potsticker. We ordered another portion immediately after tasting. I do have three concerns - the long wait for food, unattentive service and the strong musty smell inside the restaurant. We preferred to sit outside due to this. It was also hard to find the restaurant as it is no longer inside the mall but no is this indicated. If management could address and improve on this, it would be a Beluga great experience again.

We joined friends for a meal at Jack Salmon on a Tuesday evening. The place was full at 6:30 and there was a happy, relaxed atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. Our table of 5 enjoyed Haloumi starters and salad, then beer battered fish and chips, calamari and superb line fish, Dorado.The portions were generous, fish well prepared and tasty. A very reasonable meal at a local restaurant with a good sea view in the daytime. A good option for a get together with friends.

We went to dinner last night and the restaurant was not full.After being seated for 5/8 minutes a manager asks if i was helped.No was my reply..She very helpfully took drinks and starter order. Still no sign of our waitress though.Our waitress eventually arrives with drink does not introduce herself or wear a name badge.My partner then joins me and he sits a good few minutes before he attracted the attention of a manager to help take his drink order.He then summons another waitress to help us.In the interim a few waitresses are very merrily having a conversation in the front.My point is restaurant was NOT full to capacity and service was pathetic.No one checked if meal was ok ?
