The restaurant is in a quaint house in the woods. It is located past Annupuri but worth the drive! We went in March so there was snow surrounding the lodge which made for beautiful scenery. The food was delicious. As Americans we love our Ruth Chris and Morton's, but this was different. The chef prepared our steak and venison perfectly and the side vegetables were delicious and al dente. Our two daughters ages 10 and 12 enjoyed cooking their own shabu shabu. Again, the quality of the meat is superior to those found in the U.S. Many happy thoughts as we remember our dinner here.

Who would have thought we would find one of the best pizzas in niseko! The pizza dough was fantastic and they have unique flavours lije the dragon. Also love the pesto one. Must try!

I struggled over the rating on Steak Rosso Rosso but finally gave it a 5. That is a rating I reserve for someplace truly outstanding. This place manages to meet that expectation. Steak Rosso Rosso is a small place that while it specializes in steak, includes a lot more. We opted for the wagyu beef and the vegan Salisbury steak. The Waugu was perfect, cooked just a bit shy of the medium rare it was ordered as but the dish comes with a hot rock, bringing it to the perfect state of cooked was simple. The salad, vegetables and potatoes that came with it were done flawlessly. Nothing to complain about there. My vegan Salisbury Steak was the best meal Ihad had since coming to Japan 5 days ago. I just wish it was a larger portion. Add to that the full bar and very good wine list and you have a fantastic culinary experience. With the attentive service and simple but tasteful room, there was little else you could ask for. We will define toy come back.
