Crans-Montana actually comprises two ski resorts, Crans-sur-Sierre and Montana-Vermala, although for all intents and purposes, they function as one. Popular with affluent Italians, the skiing is good (best for beginners and intermediates), but the shopping, eating and drinking are even better. The resort claims to be on the sunniest plateau in the Alps, and indeed the snow is often lacking, but the views over the RhÂne are superb. Every September, the resort hosts the European Masters golf tournament.

I had the opportunity to accompany my family to dinner at the wonderful Argentine Steakhouse. The restaurant offered a very unique dining experience in the beautiful Alps. We all had wonderful streak dinners, which are served on hotplates with your selections of sides. A nice touch is the various sauces offered for your steaks. To compliment the meal was a wonderful selection of Argentina wines. Highly recommended dining experience.

This restaurant offers excellent argentinian meat and specialties at very reasonable prices. Phantastic entrecôtes and fillets on hot sonte. We also highlight the restaurant's excellent wine list at very moderate prices. Overall, a very pleasing experience.
