We chose this restaurant without having read its reviews, Choosing to eat under umbrellas in the middle of a popular square can result in both expense and mediocre food. This place was neither. The service was attentive and efficient for this type of restaurant, Schnitzels were very good and the steak was cooked just right, tender and well seasoned. The only dilema was if I should ask for "rot wein" of "vino tinto". (The wine was also great) Lunch was so pleasant without any hassles. I'd happily go again

As we live in the US, it's kinda hard to convince with a truly excellent steak. This one is a remote gem, and always booked. Still we managed to get a 5.30pm dinner table for the eight of us and it was really really good. Would I go again? If in the area: most likely. Would I drive a 30+ min detour to go (mandatory for me to achive 5 star status ;-). I fear the answer is no. Besides the steaks, the "magic" of this place lies a bit in being a "hidden gem" far off - with little to no real competition in that very area. So if you live there, it's a must go. If you ask me if it's worth a detour - once yes, I doubt you will become a regular though.

Had dinner her one night when staying over in Koblenz. As the place is quite busy - also for lunch - it is recommendable to book a table in advance.We arrived and had to wait a bit to order, as the service apparently was quite busy - which they were throughout the evening.We ordered their Buffalo Beef Burgers and I had their interpretation of fish'n'chips, which is a grilled dorado with french fries. For starters we had two chips and dips to share between the four of us.The food was quite good - with the burgers being medium as wanted, the bun and filling were great and fresh and the fries just the right crispiness.My dorado was grille fine, and the capers butter was a fine company together with the french fries. A couple of soft drinks and a large draught beer really hit the dry spot.The prices are quite reasonable, and even a quite filling dinner is not setting you back the same way it might have done other places.Recommendable.

Out in a sunny and warm day, this cosy place is a good destination for a stopover and a meal. The menu offers something for everybody, not too fancy. The place is surely depending on the weather conditions, although you can also sit inside. Havenât tried that yet.
