Always keen to try the no 1 on TA in a new area. Sometimes this disappoints and sometimes it’s a clearly earned. In this case it was very much the latter. Booked a table through the TA app and on arrival were seated on our reserved table in the outside seating area, candle lit ready to go.For starters we shared a melon and duck salad which was ideal, the melon and duck a perfect combination and more than enough for two of us.The menu is extensive but we went for the sea bass special. This was possibly the most succulent tasty piece of fish I have ever eaten. Served with potatoes and side veg. Absolutely delicious! For dessert we had a home made mousse and lemon pie. Again these were very good with generous portions. We had water and wine to accompany out meal and the bill was a very reasonable 81 euro. The service throughout was quick and efficient and the ambiance of the restaurant made it a delightful place to be.Thoroughly recommended.

Since we discovered this place we’ve been there almost everyday for breakfast and/or lunch. Coffee is really fragrant and yum and their tostadas are really crunchy! We opted for tostadas of atun (tuna), tomate and tomate + pavo (turkey). As for lunch we ordered the menu (10 euros!) and we’re not disappointed ! Excellent and fresh mixed salad, pork skewer and casoleta of lamb, all this with a drink and bread, heaven on earth. Desert was also included, i chose a flan de la casa which was amazing! We absolutely recommend it!

we stopped at this bar for lunch one day as we only wanted a salad, the bar was full and looked really inviting. the staff very helpful and attentive especially the waiter. the salads were huge and lovely and very well priced. While we were waiting for our salad the waiter brought out a large tapa of boquerones with our drinks, they were fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the atmosphere we went back that night for pre dinner drinks. Wine was excellent and again we enjoyed to large tapas with each round of drinks. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Almuñecar.

Totalmente recomendable.

We went here on the recommendation of a local. The location gives no indication of what you are about to experience, being on a small, quiet side street at the Eastern end of the old town. The menu is largely meat-based, but of excellent quality. Likewise, the wine list contains a good range of high quality wines. Of course, the prices bear a relation to the quality but, whilst it is not for everyday eating, as an occasional treat it is a place worth remembering. The staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
