Do something different, take your car and ride out here. It's worth the drive. The place really doesn't look like much, and the location doesn't help but you don't come here for a romantic dinner. You come here for real home cooked food. Dishes are huge. The boss is your waiter and his wife your cook. Let him suggest. You won't regret. Asturias is a Spanish region with great culture and a proud people. Hot chorizo is a great starter, the rice pudding a great end. Expect to gain wait, even though it's not overly fat. Nice place with good tapas, both classic and modern ones. Presentation, portions and taste is good. I loved the mini Japanese burger. They have a good selection of wines and a nice amount of different beers as well. Will come back for more!

This is a new upgraded restaurant for mass-produced food of much poorer quality than the original restaurant only very recently on this site. The restaurant is a victim of its own success and is the embodiment of the problems a good tripadvisor review can cause.Sadly this has gone from being my favourite restaurant to one that I would never want to return to and can no longer recommend :(Hello Leonardo. They don't have a menu so really it's best to just let them recommend something, that's what we did and everything was utterly delicious. We shared their specialty which is a mix of fish and shellfish in a flavoursome broth. Fish was served whole, beautifully fried, with crispy skin and juicy flesh. Great dish. We didn't know what dessert to get so just asked the owner to bring what he likes and ended up with a yummy banana mousse of some sort. Everything was fresh and tasty, there's an ocean view and everyone is really friendly. Highly recommended! Thank you!

I had wanted to come here for a while because of the good reviews on the lunches and cakes. Plus I wanted to offer my wife ( a vegetarian) lots of options for food. We started with a quiche (wife), a vegetable wrap ( daughter), cheese and tomato baguette (son) and I had the vegetarian burger. These were all really good. The cakes were delicious and the coffee was amazing, we tried the barraquito and these were so good we ordered another each. I would thoroughly recommend this cafe

My self and my gf went here on the recommendation of the hotel where we were staying (punta del ray ). The restaurant is located up on the hills so best get a taxi there , but the walk back down to the hotel area is easy. Food was top class , really delicious, perfectly seasoned and all washed down with a beautiful local wine.we both tried each others starters and mains and both enjoyed all dishes , The gentleman who served us was very friendly , we spoke no Spanish but he helped us and kept is happy through the meal. Had been visiting Candelaria and wanted a late lunch. New there was a seafront area with lots of restaurants and drove along. Finding parking space a Premium..... but managed to get one and walked back. Had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes, but that was fine. Was kept informed by owner. Decided on just a main course, two men had the wreck fish, and are still talking about it. I had the salad with prawns, delicious, my friend the cod and prawns, equally as tasty. Excellent restaurant, expertly ran.

First of all, this is not a real guachinche, maybe the venue. I say this because the variety and quantity of dishes and probably the wine is not their production. They should consider this because this type of scam is killing something that we are very proud of. Apart from this, I have to say that you can dinner well with a low budget. Just to say that the stuffed mushroom were such as tennis ball and were the worst Iâve ever tried, another negative point is that you have to wait for a long time since you get a table, this depends on the time you arrive, finally the staff donât avise you the amount recommended so you will be carrying bags of food at the end of your meal. The positive aspect is that many dishes are excellent, for instance the chickpeas, fried cheese, the escaldó, the pork and beef meat and so on.
