a beach side restaurant with home cooked menu of the day. The cooking is simple but good with local ingredients. Tried the mix salad (very good) and the paella (average)for appetizers. Main dishes of fish an,d squid were very very good, the steak was good. It is a good find in this touristy area.

Stopped by chance for lunch and although the place was very busy it seemed that locals were in the majority which is always a good sign.The service was excellent and quick and Anna looked after us perfectly.Had the menu of the day which was 3 courses and about 5 choices in each-.all for 12 Euros a person. For starters we had the fish soup which arrived in a large tureen with enough for 3 large bowls each plus fresh crusty bread. That itself would have satisfied us but the fish course for my wife and the meat course for me was too delicious to turn down!! Could not manage any more so just had coffee and unfortunately had to leave immediately for the airport.Lovely views and in the summer it is possible to eat outside on the terraceMuchas gracias por su opinión

We visited here after flying non-stop from NZ. Needed something to eat and chose this place because it looked good - and it was. So many beers! From all over the world. Worth going here just to try one of the hundreds of beers they have stashed away. The tapas were good too, as was the Rioja. Met some really interesting locals who shouted us wine and we eventually made it to our lodging totally exhausted. Great night!

We decided to stop here after we had climbed the rock of San Juan De Gaztelugutxe (which is awesome!). Didn't want to have any pinchos as they feature quite a lot on this holiday! So we had the slow cooked beef stew which was fantastic! Lovely friendly people too!

This international hostel located one block in from the beach breaks of Baiko had good wibes, music and snacky foods like pizza and nachos . It's a great place to escape the sun and enjoy a glas of white under the pergola of wines!

Four of us went and had the most expensive Menu del Dia ever and we couldn't tell what we were eating mostly. Chicken? Lamb? Pork? â¬20 a head with sparkling water for three and a small beer for me.Me sorprende su forma de opinar sobre el supuesto menú que ha comido en nuestro local, me sorprende porque nosotros el menú diario entre semana cobramos 12⬠con café y usted dice que 20⬠lo cual no me cuadra y respecto a la comida lo siento si no le ha gustado pero podÃa haber comentado a la camarera que no le gustaba y seguramente le hubiéramos cambiado, nosotros y en este caso yo como cocinero y propietario del local intento esmerarme en lo que cocino de hay los premios conseguidos en multitud de concursos gastronómicos, lo sentimos de corazón su queja, un saludo y si vuelve algún dÃa por aquà me gustarÃa saludarle, le pedimos perdón si le hemos fallado. Un saludo y feliz estancia en euskal herria.

Great place to stop and take in the amazing view with a beer and some pintxos, if you are feeling more hungrey the restaurant offers a full menu. A table on the balcony is a must.

Wonderful patio in front of the beach of Bakio. The view and the ambiance is very relaxing. The food was simple but good and tasty; specially the tomatoes salad of the garden. The waitress and the cook are very sympathetic.

We went to this restaurant twice. It is set in a beautifully restored mill and the grounds are gorgeous. However the food was simply overpriced and not on par with other places we ate on our trip to the Bizkaia. First time we had an expensive "degustacion" set menu and while we finished full the quality of food and the service were not that good. Basically the food was well presented but did not surprise and in our opinion was not worth the 70+ euro a head we paid. The second time we went because our friends wanted to try this restaurant - they read the positive reviews on tripadvisor. This time we had the cheaper set menu and it was simply disappointing - fatty and salty the usual tricks to mask the lack of care and quality.Irrisorio y patetico,,,vuelvo a tener la seguridad de que esta malversada opinion procede de la misma persona con el perfil cambiado,,la proxima vez a nombre de quien estara el perfil MIKEL, JAVIER o BERNARDA,english spoken?,Trip advisor es para que escriba gente normal ,sin animo de pretender hacer daño gratuitamente y con valoraciones fehacientes,reales y fidedignas,luego aseguro que esta opinion es claramente inventada.Ni ha estado usted ni ha vuelto con sus amigos.Un acto de cobardia amparado por el anonimato de las redes.Hay que ser mas honesto y sino hay que dar la cara sin andar con juegos infantiles .Desde luego a no tener en cuenta

What a marvelous restaurant! We visited Bilbao for a wedding which then held their reception at this really nice spot. Right on Bilbaoâs beach with gorgeous sunsets most nights, this restaurant excels in providing yummy, exquisite food. Over three days, we ate a late lunch and a dinner in the dining room, and then were treated to a 6-course feast at the wedding reception. Every meal, every item served was well prepared, presented nicely, and was wonderfully tasty. We are planning a cruise that will see us in Bilbao next spring and we WILL eat here again! If you have the option for a place to eat in the area surrounding Bilbao, choosing Tamarises Izarra will make you very happy!
