We were a party of six, and we tried a couple of different dishes. For the starter we took prosciutto San Daniele and tonno battuto. Both delicious. Then we took orzotto and blecks with San Daniele & funghi porcini. Blecks were fantastic, much more favorable than orzotto. The best dish of the dinner in my opinion. As main we took ravioli and veal. The filling in the raviloi was tasteful a bit too dry. If it was for my taste, I would never grill ravioli, because grilled pasta becomes bitter. The deserts were good, the strawberry tiramisu better than the almond cannoli. All over, a tasteful dinner with a fantastic white Jermann.

The exterior of the restaurant is fairly plain, the environment is more beautiful. But it's no wonder that this restaurant is located under Sv. Gora, which is a very famous monastery, since feeding at this restaurant is a spiritual experience. The food is extremely tasty, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully served. Their special dishes with chicory, which I do not care for usualy, are dreamlike. The wines recommended by the waiter really rounded the flavors. It was a masterpiece. Following the five-way menu, my body felt floating, airy and completely satisfied. We dined for three huors and had a great time.

Blanch is a very traditional restaurant off the beaten tracks in Friuli, one of Italy's most beautiful regions in the extreme Northeast of the country. People from the region, but also a considerable number of diners from nearby Austria come to Blanch to get the classics of Friulian cuisine - always fresh and prepared a la minute. I can only recommend the homemade pasta (which goes traditionally with the sugo di gallo) and a unique fegato in Venetian style. Lots of seasonal products, such as asparagus in Spring and mushrooms in fall, are always a good choice. You can get a quite good Friulano (Tokay) or Merlot to accompany the food, but Blanch has also the great wines from the Collio in his wine list.

Sometimes I had good food here. But the last time I was there the food was really terrible. I had to ask the waiter for another meal. This was OK, but far from very good. The service was very good. Ambient is OK too.

This is authentic and old fashioned restaurant in Gorizia town centre.Food is nice and fresh and the staff extremely friendly and polite.Don't think they've changed the prices since the eighties...probably just converted from the old lira to euros!It's a place you shouldn't miss if you're in the area

This restaurant may technically be in Italy, but its menu has clear influences from nearby Austria and Slovenia. The interior is full of fun decorations and the staff wear Austrian dirndl outfits. Lovely atmosphere and good quality food. The free glass of Grappa at the end was a nice gesture.
