We were taken by my cousin who lives in Turin. It was full of locals as it's situation is outside the tourist areas. What a wonderful establishment!!! The menu consisted of daily specials, concentrating on seasonality. We all enjoyed the risotto with asparagus and Lardo, finishing with sorbets. You may need a little knowledge of Italian to order as English is not spoken. Well worth the effort though.Thank you for your nice review !I speak fluent French and Spanish with English but I apologize I have serious shortcomings . La locanda is a 'middle end' restaurant, with both traditional (and fish) menu or pizza. the quality it is 'not bad' as the ambience as well; they have various little rooms, sometime a little bit 'noisy' when ther's lot of people. We were invited by our Italian friends to this restaurant. It was a night to remember as the service was second to none and the food was presented to us in the most professional manner. The restaurant itself is very chic and classical and you feel pampered all the time. The choice of the wine is excellent too . The restaurant manager was passing by our table every now and then to check if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. Very professional. Highly recommended but you must book your table to avoid disappointment. Trust me...you will have a lovely evening at Il Capitolo .

The waiter here was great, every suggestion worked. First was the homemade multi grain bread Next the salad, sword fish and a fresh cherry tomato pasta with local red wine were very good and fresh. Capped with a chocolate based desert with espresso. Plus the waiter gave us lemoncello on the house. Great time.

Although it was busy on Mothers day for lunch, we sat outside at a quiet table and ate very good food. There is a minimum of car traffic on this street and lots of flowers around the eating area. The bread was served in a paper bag and was fresh made in their pizza oven. Because we did not finish it with our meal, the waiter came to clear it away but no way was that going to happen. Bread that good goes right into my purse to be devoured later.

I've been in the 'Cascina di Corte' for a 'couple' dinner, and I've been surprised by the quality; very accurate menu, delicate mix of taste able to join cheese, vegetables, and fish together.... very good choice of wine from the cantina, excellent the service level, as well as the environment.last but not least the price is not stellar (around 50⬠pax) and the location, very close to the Reggia of Venaria, which allows some pleasant walk around after dinner...
