It was such a surprise to find this lovely restaurant in Florence.Finally something different: the food is amazing and the fish is "cooked" all in different ways and presented impeccably.We did go for the tasting menu (7 courses, but not the one with raw fish) and everything was perfect: frankly do not get too paranoid about 7 courses, a part the main all the others are just a mouthful.Cannot wait to go back.

it was our first wedding anniversary and we booked a table on the very top terrace. I think it's safe to say that if you sit up there (there was approximately 4 other tables) you get forgotten. Service was incredibly slow, incorrect items, forgotten drinks, and as we were so high up there was hardly ever anybody to speak to about anything. The side dishes took so long to arrive that we were forced to start our meal and the food was not very hot. The staff really tried hard to make up for it with various free desserts and drinks but as we'd travelled so far and had high expectations, it's just a shame.

I started with a seafood salad, which was good....tender shrimp, calamari, cozze, and vongole...on a bed of lettuce. It was a bit bland, to be honest, so I asked for lemon and doused it....Then, a pasta with pesto, sun dried tomato and pistachio. Wow. Best pasta I've had for a long time. Exceptional.Good service, excellent wine list, lovely place.

Stayed near by and saw the Donfefe Porta Romama, excellent service and the food was delicious with great wine selection. The insalada Mare, Ravioli Ricota & Branzino with the Margaherita Pizze were the highlights withe the Rocca di Castagnoli Chianti Classico. Super, shall return

This trattoria was recommended by the owner of the B&B where we stayed for serving down to earth good Tuscan food. Staff was friendly and the service was good but the food however was average. The menu indeed is typical Tuscan cuisine but I have had better for the same price. The ragu for the pasta was too salty and the ribollita had far too much bread in it.I would nor recommend this trattoria unless it rain is pouring and you don't want to go futher.

The waitress was friendly and very helpful especially as our Italian is a work in progress.She explained the ingredients of the many local dishes patiently and we chose a delicious tuna spaghetti dish and artichoke salad.This restaurant not perhaps the best choice for gluten intolerant people or vegetarians but otherwise for everyone else the food is wholesome and freshly made. You can tell the cook has talent.The pudding which was a ricotta stuffed sponge with brandy was delicious and the wine was good.The atmosphere is really super with lots of wine bottles and ancient weighing machinery neatly arranged in front of distressed brick walls. The lighting is not too harsh. I'd be very happy to take a friend there and it is on the 36/37 bus route so easy to get home from.

Went here for dinner - don't expect a fancy restaurant. It is more like a bistro but you have the opportunity to sit outside.You can choose between various fish and meat and other sides as chips etc. just mix it yourself and enjoy. Definitely worth eating here!Very friendly staff as well!!

A few kilometers outside Florence, this restaurant doesn't attract as many tourists as the ones in the city. The result is that the food is more refined, not mass-produced and made with attention to detail. Also the chef is not only in the kitchen but in the restaurant as well. He even came to meet us and shake hands when we arrived at the restaurant. We asked the chef about a dish on the menu but ordered something else. He then gave us a small plate to taste the dish we asked him about. Our main courses (fish) were delicious, generous, well cooked and full of flavor. After desert we asked for the bill, which was very reasonable for the meal and wine we had.
