Not great value for money. Service was friendly and efficient but the food was only so-so. My family and I had a mix of fish and chips and another sautéed fish dish. The fish and the sides were all dry and over cooked. More akin to food that was pre-prepared and sitting under a heat lamp for too long. El Caminito Mexican Restaurant, Sunnyvale, CA I liked it with some reservation.I have eaten lunch at El Caminito restaurant on numerous occasions. Here is what I like. I ate a shrimp/prawn dish that was excellent; but I do not recall the precise name of it. I tried a 2nd shrimp dish and was unimpressed.On several occasions I have enjoyed the combination crisp taco with beef. It was good and the re fried beans and rice were tasty. What I do not care for is 1) Some days they play too noisy rock-like music and that disturbs my peace and quiet. 2) They had a superb waiter that seems to have been replaced by a mediocre waitress â for example â before she offers water and chips with salsa, she asks for your order. That is not good.

Crowded on the weekends. Great variety of Dim Sum. Delicious and full when we left. I think $55, no drinks. Prepare to get on waiting list if you come mid morning on weekends. Don't know about other times. Good food, great Dim Sum experience.

This place came highly recommended by our friends who are long-time Sunnyvale residents, so we tried it tonight. I'm a big fish and chips fan, so any place with those words in the name will get my attention. The place is not that easy to find, only a small sign on the street mixed in with others, and they are tucked in the far back corner of this strip mall. We finally found them, got inside, and ordered. Drinks and food both were delivered faster than I expected. And what I got was a nice (but not outstanding) fish and chips. The "chips" are your average wholesale food distributor fries. Ick. One of my pieces of fish was very good, the other had apparently been kicking around in the bottom of the freezer for awhile as the fish-flesh was tough. And the batter was a bit too thick. But I would come back here to try other dishes, because I LOVE mom-and-pop operations!
