Itâs rare that weâve found a takeaway that keeps its standards as high as Singhs. We have tried the fish, sausage and peppery Irish gravy with their lovely chips. Weâve tried different pizzas and last week we had the chicken, steak, kofta and donner kebab with chips chilli sauce and mayo. We ordered it direct from their own website which gives you a discount. The shop itself is spotless and the staff polite and helpful. Well worth the 5 rating from our experience.

Iâve always considered this place one of the greatest chippies in the north east, and last time I went I was massively disappointed, the fish was dry and the chips just werenât up to normal standard, I took it on the chin and put it down to an âoffâ day.Visited again today and got the sausage and chips, the sausage was a little overdone and the chips again were over greasy and again well below their standard.Sadly, Iâll not return.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around the fish quay and onto Tynemouth. My wife and I both ordered the fish and chips which was very fresh and cooked perfectly. There was also homemade tartare sauce and minted peas. The batter was light and crispy too just how we like it.

Used a Groupon offer and mistakenly thought this was a restaurant. It isn't BUT it's extra clean; the man and woman serving were super customer focused - there are a couple of tables and we were really looked after. So, not a restaurant BUT definitely worth a visit - oh, the fish n chips were great!!

We visited the restaurant last Saturday. We were very satisfied with the excellent food and friendly staff. We had mussels (remember to dip bread in the creamy sauce ummm) and fresh oysters for starters. Fish & chips and fried halibut as main and we shared a delicious crumble afterwards.This was our third visit to Longsands Fish Kitchen and I looked forward to come back.Watch out Hailey

We were hearing good things about this little restaurant and decided to give it a go for lunch, we were not disappointed. Food was amazing and the service really friendly. I would highly recommend and cant wait to go back to sample their paella. We live close by so I wont have to wait very long.

My Mum's friend recommended we try Fridays, and I'm so glad she did. The food was delicious, the music wasn't blaring, the staff are very welcoming and just lovely. Nothing was too much for them. My Mum would highly recommend the scampi and I would recommend the hot waffle with ice cream!! We will definitely be back to Fridays. Well done guys.Thank you very much. So glad you liked us. Ha ha - just read some of the latest negative reviews for Coleman's Fish and Chip Shop. Yes it sells fish and chips and yes that, in the ,main, is battered fish and chips and they are delicious too. If I wanted a veggie meal I would go to veggie restuarant and if I ordered fish and chips there they would no doubt think I was daft ( which I'm not). So why do vegitarian expect an extensive vegitarian menu in a fish and chip restaurant? Beats me !! And as for the food being bland and expensive - are you joking !! This is the best fish and chip restaurant establishment in the north east - so good in fact that apart from frequenting it as much as possible I've been lucky enough to go there twice in the last week. Delicious food, great service and a wonderful ambience. Don't take any notice of the negative reviews - go and experience Coleman's yourself. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.
