We stopped to eat lunch at this restaurant; what a great treat, service and personnel. The food was extremely fresh, amazing shells and fish, affordable lunch menu 26â¬. It may not be the best restaurant in the area, but the experience was 10/10. Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, sunny, warm Sunday and lots of people enjoying themselves. We had (4 people) a very nice lunch here. I had gambas, my wife had the bar a la plancha and our friends had paella. All very good .nice place tres convivial

If you like fresh fish and seafood then you will love this simple restaurant on the road by the sea in Saintes-Maries-de -la-mer. The service was friendly and efficient and good fun. We both had Gambas and white wine which were gorgeous. We would definitely go back if we are ever in the town again.

A really good selection of local dishes all reasonably priced. Bull was superb ... perfectly cooked and presented. Seafood salad was equally as good with a great range of fish and shell fish. The best mid-range restaurant in Saintes Maries de la Mer that we have found after three short holidays in this delightful town. Once again an enjoyable dinner on our first night with fresh good quality seafood simply cooked and served- followed by cheeses and desserts. Pleasant quiet surroundings only a short distance from the main seafront and also the main restaurant/shopping area. So many "me too" restaurants in Saintes Maries, which makes Le Fournelet definitely worth trying.

Parking in the free public car-park just round the corner. Small, need to reserve, much liked by the locals, fairly attentive service. The yachties also like it!Good food and wine.

The location is beautiful and we had a lovely view of the sunset. Of course, it's on a secluded (at least when we were there) beach, so it doesn't get a whole lot better. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. Our server was very nice and although she spoke very little English, she was quite patient considering we are unable to communicate in her language (French, of course). The fries were very good, the seafood was very fresh and delicious. For us, this is our #1 restaurant of choice in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. It's a bit out of town (5 or 10 min), so you need a car, but there is plenty of parking. Bonus: The chef came out to say hello and make sure everything was delicious. Went here on TA reports and were not disappointed. For starters my wife chose the baked goats cheese that was accompanied by a delicious goats cheese ice cream. I had the oysters, super. Mains were equally tasty, Lemon sole with a great sauce and the local beef with seps sauce. The fishes of the day were brought round for selection as I gather is normalThe rum baba was big and VERY rummy! Chef came to see the clients at end of service, nice touch. Well worth paying a little bit more than normal for a real foodie experience.

We showed up at 6pm and were told by the owners they didnât open until 7pm. We explained all we really wanted were some oysters and white wine. They accommodated us, and we are glad they did. Oysters were fantastic, they had three types ranging from local (good) to some of Frances Best ...Gillardeau (fantastic). Hour, a bottle of Chablis and 30 oysters later...we were gone. Perfect time, cute place. Wish we could come here on a Saturday night in the summer!

We have eaten here before, last year, and are happy to return again! This is mainly a fish restaurant, all of the dishes are freshly prepared and cooked using local ingredients. We forgo starters ordering the Dorade Royale and the Assiette Casita- a plate of prawns, cuttlefish, squid and a fillet of local fish. Both came with a timbale of rice and aubergines.The dessert menu is also well chosen, and we enjoyed rum Baba and raspberry pannacotta. With a half litre of rose wine and two coffees, the bill was a very reasonable Eu77, excellent value for the quality of food Service was friendly and efficient, the staff responding with humour and patience to my limited French and equally happy to speak English.There were some regulars eating here, always a good sign, and this restaurant is a significant step up from most in the resort.
