Following an exhausting day visiting attractions in Rome all we needed was an excellent meal, a great bottle of local wine, top service and pleasant surroundings. These came in abundance at this delightful restaurant situated in a quiet backwater street in Grottaferrata. What a great experience we had at Wunder Kaffee. We were staying in Castel Gandolfo, but went here based on TripAdvisor recommendations. So far, only one review in English, which indicates it's not a tourist oriented place. But if you're staying in Castel Gandolfo or anywhere else near Marino, it is 100% worth getting out there! It's easy to reach by car and parking is not a problem in the (relatively new) parking garage off of Via Giuseppe Garibaldi.The interior is very cosy in retro style, jazz music playing in the background. They have a great (artisanal) beer selection and a good selection of wines. I enjoyed one glass of each.. Although it is mostly a local place, at least several people in the staff speak sufficient or good English. Simone was able to explain us the menu perfectly. We had very tasty seafood antipasti and pasta as main dish. The idea was to have a secondi piatti as well, but the first two courses were already enough for us, so we went straight to dessert. And wow, the desserts were delicious! We had a chocolate/orange cheese cake and a coffee/choco semifreddo. True delight..The staff was just wonderful to us, could not have been any better. Too bad we are leaving soon, because we would not hesitate to go back.10/10 from us to Wunder Kaffee. Thank you!! :)thank you and see you soon

If while visiting Rome you have the time and a vehicle try this little place in the Castelli. You'll love the Roman approach of the owner, but above all his wife's great recipes straight from the kitchen. Try the menu with the glasses of wine combination. Worth it.

We had a set menu mainly of seafood and pasta. It was pretty good and they had a music performance indoors which added up to the atmosphere. I would rather prefer the outdoor seating at night if the weather is good. Although not visible at night, a walk by the lake on the opposite side would be awesome afterwards

Attentive service, fantastic food, good wine. Price very honest given the high quality of the meal. Go for their tomato appetizer if available (the owner grows the tomatoes himself and they are amazing).

I had dinner one night only ( I couldn´go again because it was crowded and had no reservation). It was wuite late ( about 10 pm) and we were treated in an excellent way. Their food is exceptional, both antipasti, pizza, meat or fish. It is quite close to the hotel I stayed (Villa dei Papi).Important to make reservation if weekend. Very full normally.

Arrived in the locality on a Monday which is when many places are closed. This was suggested by our hotel as a provider of simple Italian food. Not much simple about it. One waiter spoke excellent English and was charm personified. Not cheap, but good quality food and wine. (The wine is produced by the hotel.) You need a car to get to it, though as taxis are pricey.
