Everything we ordered was good (salad, calamari and desert) and the fried cod (churros de pescado?) was excellent. Very good prices, but beware they do not speak english and they do not have a menu! We had to show them what we wanted from the surrounding tables!

We got there early for lunch on a Tuesday and we were lucky, by 2pm it was completely full and we wouldn't have found a table. They have some indoor tables and a very nice outside patio with views to the kitchen through a large window. I personally like having a view of the kitchen where I eat so this was a nice surprise. Since we are familiar with this tip of restaurant we knew what we wanted, camarones to start and some grilled fresh fish to share. We also ordered a "timbal de pulpo" to share which has a bed of mashed potatoes topped with octopus and sauce that turned out to be fantastic (see my pictures). The service was great. They were fast and changed the dishes and cutlery three times during our meal. We found it very well priced as well, with lunch for three people with wine included coming up at about 15-17 euros/person, and it was excellent quality and service. The location so close to the center is also ideal. We will certainly go back with friends.

Extraordinary good food for fair prices, good selection of beverages and very nice service! I had the tuna tartar on avocado which was amazing and the mussels in blue cheese sauce, very tasty!

On our first night we walked by the front and this seemed the only resturant and busy. We saw on the menu a deal of the day at 10 euro, we asked a waiter if still okay and said yes. Sat at a table they broght us the German menu, we tried to understand the deal but asked if they had an English menu, they dont! The manager came over and said he would translate then he said oh a whole fish for both will be cheaper! So we said okay, and how about a small starter so foolishly we said yes. Starter was a plate of cooked green peppers not tasting good, then the fish with some canarian potato, not bad. Anyway we were expecting the bill to be around 10 euro each plus wine as he said it will be cheaper. Guess then out amazement when we were presented with a bill for fifty eight, yes 58 euro! I at once went inside and said please fetch me the manager, when he eventually came we said must be a mistake, he said no that's what a whole fish costs, on the bill it was something like one point five kilo at 18 euro a kilo. So after some arguing in which we kept our cool, he denyed saying it would be cheaper than the deal of the day at 10euro, but reckoned he had said it was cheaper than the Fish special of the day, which had never been mentioned. I stood my ground and offered him 30 euro that was it, he muttered something about he would have to make up the rest, but I thought tough! Needless to say we will never go back or recommend it, seems he thought we were just stupid English tourists or something!

Moderately priced restaurant serving local fresh seafood. Highly recommend the 'Choccos' (grilled cuttlefish) with coriander pesto - one of our favourites - accompanied by some 'Papas arrugado', literally meaning wrinkled potatoes, with an extra portion of Mojo (the aforementioned coriander pesto) to drizzle over.

The 'crayfish salad' was crab sticks with mayonnaise and iceberg lettuce. The bread was stale. Nice paella and good friendly service but on an island of mediocre restaurants this is very underwhelming in terms of food. Nice location and view though.

As the day was nice we decided to search out this well-known fish restaurant in Punta del Hidalgo for lunch. The atmosphere is humble, plastic chairs, plastic tables and plastic table cloths but the view overlooking the sea gives it a special charm which is why it is very popular with locals. There was a great choice of fish dishes. We started with bread and aloli, followed by home made croquettes and fish churros with salad. The mixed fish platter included prawns, mussels, a choco, peppers accompanied by wrinkled potatoes were well cooked and the service was very good. Donât go here expecting to speak English this is a truly Canarian spot. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks and coffees were a very reasonable â¬20.We lingered over an enjoyable lunch for a long time and nobody seemed bother or wanted to rush us despite the place being very popular and busy.
