Things to do in Pichilemu

If you see just to the building is the nicer restaurant at Pichilemu. The service just do not much the building..and the food do not do so either.I am chilean and I took my best friend and her daughter to this restaurant because it looks so nice.It was full because it was lunch time. We got some bread and butter in the beginning, the soft drinks arrived when we were done with the bread and the food after 1 hour and 10 minutes...I wanted to go but since the girl who was serving us was nice and apologized all the time, came with more bread and butter...well...we stay. The food arrived together. It was not well done. My fish was excellent, but my friend got the same that I ordered and it was not what she ordered. The daughter of my friends ate her fish that was not well done and ended ill in the toilet...The were going to give us a "free" dessert but we just went out...Worst experience ever...Absolutly the nicer building but awfull service. If you want real good chilean food do NOT go there!

Off the beaten path, this is not primarily a tourist restaurant. There is no view and unless you are a local, you'll have a hard time finding La Gloria. Our waiter was fabulous -- he was attentive, helpful and spoke English well. They also provide an English version of the menu, although some of the preparations are lost in translation. They are most known for fried sea bass, although the mixed raw seafood plate and some of the Chilean standard dishes are good too. This is good, not great food. There is no special twist, no special seasoning. La Gloria has a decent wine list and makes a few fun cocktails. The food was fresh. The dining spaces are large, so they can handle large groups.

We noted that locals frequented this restaurant and so popped in for lunch. I had mixed seafood with rice whilst my wife and daughter had Chicken Milanese on a bed of spicy mashed potatoes. All food was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive despite our mediocre Spanish. I also had a delicious chocolate milkshake.

Fresh seafood, local products, cool drinks, good vibes and the greatest view in Pichilemu
The service is pretty much what you'd expect - adequate, decent, but nothing either especially bad or especially good. Having looked into a few restaurants along the seafront, we choose this one as it looked to be the most decent, somewhat rustic (for lack of a better word) but with a nice view and indoor seating (terrible cold wind). The food was quite good, but, as with the others we looked into, overpriced - say, 20% above what you'd pay in Providencia or Las Condes. In general, the whole of Pichilemu is a pretty typical seedy and overpriced Chilean seaside pueblo that doesn't make me want to return.

Cultural mix of culinary rigor in Pichilemu. New restaurant, but with a seal which is much appreciated. Casa Cuesta bet to continue the success cultivated with Costa Luna, inviting you to enjoy a space where Basque flavors, Peruvian and Chilean intertwine
I was told by several people to try this out and was not dissapointed. All dishes were excellent. I tried the grilled octopus skewers as starter and the beef after. Excellent. Prices are in agreement with the food quality.

A pleasant surprise in a place where creative cuisine is not expected (Pichilemu/Punta de Lobos is a popular destination for surfers). The owner/chef Leonor offers a brief yet well achieved menu that included an exceptional almond crusted tuna. Great natural juices and a chocolate truffle desert to die for. Reservations a must. Not a place to eat in a hurry.

Bu
After many years visiting Pichilemu this is the first time I eat a fancy/nicer restaurant. This guys did not disappoint.Had a trio of ceviche to start, my wife had congrio filet and I had the seafood chupe. Trio of ceviche was crab, reineta and octupus. all three perfectly seasoned and very fresh. The congrio was fresh as well and my chupe was just quite special. Many different seafoods with cheese, cream and overall deliciousness.Place only had another couple besides us. A n ice surprise was the chef personally explained all our questions, took our orders and then went to the kitchen.Dessert was not memorable. Payaya stuffed with almond ice cream. Not great but not bad.The only thing that might need attention is the wine list. It was quite basic and limited and for the high level restaurant I expected a bit more with the selection. It might be challenging to have a nicer list in Pichilemu but not impossible as we saw a wine store in town with a very nice selection of wines. (I am a sommelier so I get picky, sorry)Yes it is a bit expensive compared to the average in Pichilemu but it is well worth it if you enjoy nice food. I will go back for sure on my next visit to Pichilemu.PS: Did I not mention the amazing Punta Lobos view? Well yeah!!! We went around sunset time. AMAZING!

Delightful experience in Pichilemu! We went to Pichilemu for a day trip, and after a quick search in TripAdvisor we decided for the first place nearby. Luckily for us was this restaurant, the first thing to mention is that there's no sign outside...only a couple of tables, and once you enter the first thing you can see is the kitchen, and feel that smell that always remembers my grandmother's house. Our waitress (I assume was also the owner) was too kind with us, and be prepared, they only accept cash!!Lets be clear on one thing: this is a real chilean "picada", what means that is no fancy, but cheap and tasty (Very tasty!). We were next to a table with a couple of workers, and we realized that the menu was mean for locals, and the extras for the tourists.... if you are in the mood I encourage you to try the menu, this is what the chileans eat every day, so you will feel like a real local! When you are been received with toasted bread is always a good sign for whats next in the meal.... we ordered fish and chips and a Crab cake, the fish was incredible, crispy and not covered in oil, the chips was homemade and not frozen. The Crab Cake (Pastel de jaiva) probably was the best I've tried in the latest years... no words on how good it was!The wine was the only low point, the cup was frozen, but the wine not cold enough. We didn't try a dessert (not sure if they had) so no comments on that.If you need still needs a recommendation for a rest in Pichilemu....try this one!!! :)
